Hammer hammers on FBO 96 cobra Buddy Brass there has an FBO 96 mystic cobra. Headers, full exhaust, CAI, ignition junk, tune, gears.
Best I could muster out of it on the street was 14.4 @ 98.6 mph.
Not sure how anyone thinks they're even close to a match for an ls1
For example here's my car when it was close to stock vs a bolt on geared 96 cobra
That white cobro runs maybe 100 mph

It's funny because I raced a couple of these 96-98 cobras back when I got my first GTP. And they could barely pull 1 car length on a bone stock grand prix. A high 14 second car haha. Had I put on a $30 airfilter from autozone already, I probably would have won.

Saw a guy at OSW in late 95 run his Mystic Cobr0. 3.73 gears were the only mod and he ran consecutive 13.30s. Not bad. Took me down the track but spun on that run, 13.6.

Full honesty for your buddy. That is pathetic. Find out if his IMRC's are opening. REALLY COMMON issue now that the age is way up there, that kills the power of the car. My friends car that went 13.6 bone stock had that issue. He added 3.73s, intake, X, Catback and went SLOWER at the track. Turned out his IMRC actuator broke and then he just deleted them and ran 12s. I like how you say they are hero times though. Sounds like your quoting your buddies ZERO times.
