On3 5.0 vs ZR1 Half Mile
Figured you guys would like to see this, just a cool run and video. Buddy of mine took his artificial torque 5.0 up to Rantoul, IL today for Omega Motorsports Half Mile event. He trapped a high of I believe 177 on only 14psi.
This run was on 11psi, 655whp, against what the guy said was a stock ZR1.
Coyote: On3 kit, 11.5:1, E85, T56 Magnum, 3.73 rear, 11psi, 655whp
ZR1: Supposedly stock

It doesn't look or sound like like the ZR1 was in it at all, not to mention it'd take at least that much of an rwhp spread to be a close race. It sure would not result in a running down from behind like that.

Not really. 5.0 had dumped downpipes right below where you sit, so, you're not gonna hear much other than that car.

Idk, maybe its the 1/2 mile events I run in that prove time and time again it's going to take 100-120rwhp difference for a door to door stang v Vette run, not a running down exhibited here, but a door to door race... or maybe it's the ZR1 drivers window down, and arm hanging out the window, along with the fact that the race wasn't started side by side that lead me to believe he wasn't running all out.

The car did make 655 whp, but on a conservative mustang dyno and with a restrictive exhaust setup... Realistically, I would say the car is probably making ~725 whp at 11 psi if we go by dyno jet numbers like everyone else seems to.
Not sure where you saw the arm out the window but his window was definitely rolled up, they didn't even wave us on until windows went up.
As far as the sound...You're not going to hear a stock zr1 from inside of a car running open dp with the windows up lol.
Since there are so many excuses; I'll go ahead and add the fact that I had a 160 lb passenger and couldn't go WOT until 3rd because of traction

Smells fishy to me. Post a vid of a ZR1, and you supposedly running him down like that? Hmmmm...... I run around with descently powered vettes, and youd need a **** ton more power to catch him like that. Or, he was already coasting down.

Modded ZR1's aren't that hard to beat.
Good run by the 5.br0!

That's one strong running Mustang to run down even a stock ZR1 like that coming back from so far behind. Nice 5.0, Whippled.
