Default Ws6 vs G8 GT

Driving home from work today in the old blue bird, came across a G8 GT. He was driving like a man possesd and came up beside me, I look over and he's giving me the lets run em face and hand signals, the road is empty so I'm down, (I don't get to run my car much it has a slp lid, slp LM1 and some Micky Thompson drag radials, oh and only 26,XXX original miles) so we slow to about 50 and honk it off. I beat up second gear pretty good and nail third and I've got him by about a car and a half, I let out around well fast enough and coast back to 70. He pulls up beside me and throws me the hell yeah signal! I give him the thumbs up too! In all it was fun to get a nice pull in the mint navy blue metallic ws6 and I'm glad we both drove away happy, probably should of gone for a beer after. Any how I'm sure he was probably stockish like me, definitely didn't sound like he had anything done. Was a nice run I really thought he was going to whip my *** but I guess the blue bird got him. Just thought I'd share my little adrenaline boost for the day. I'm heading down to the track Friday to see how she runs and then she will be babied again. Really didn't expect to pull on that G8 GT like that though. Love me some LS1 what a great engine!

Cool story. You're lucky to own such a young LS1 bird

Just a heads up, after you go to the track she won't stay stock for long.

Hahaha I'll have to resist the urge to mod her up to much! Maybe just some sfc, long tubes and a cam...oh there I go again must resist!

I was too when I got it last year with 11,6xx miles on it. Then I cammed, stalled, and put full exhaust on it. Now I've got it torn apart putting a turbo on it. When these guys tell you that they wish they had left it stock, listen to them lol.

Your probably right..... It's kinda hard to just leave a car to sit.... I'd rather drive it! And those 2015 5.0 GT Mustangs are ugly in my opinion, got to show them what's up!

I had similar mods, really didn't want to mod, then I lost to a 5.0

Mods came

5.0s lose now at least from a 60-130 roll

No lie. I'm still bolt-ons, but I have an S60 and some rod-ended parts in mine with LTs and full exhaust. When you are on the freeway, you can't hear yourself think. Still fun though.

Nice run, OP.
From what your described, your car must be clean. You have a pic by any chance?
Would not mind seeing a mint WS6
