Default C5Z vs C6 Grand Sport

Raced a grand sport this weekend, nothing great because now my clutch pedal is sticking to the floor, so still granny shifting and need to order a new tick master cylinder. But I'll share it anyway

40 roll, both in second gear, his car is bone stock and mine is bolt on's with a cam. He will be adding headers intake and tune shortly and we will re run. (It was 3 honks, video starts right away)

Edit - I'll also add, I raced my friend in a 2016 M3, he has intakes, tune and down pipes with no cats and mixed 93/e-85 he made 486whp and I beat him by a few cars but let off before the end of 4th gear because of a car ahead, I was pulling harder up top.

He has two different tunes, the 486 map we raced which is about 21psi and also another on higher boost that made 590whp so once I get my clutch issue resolved, I will race him again and on both tunes. With video I'm sure

You did great considering the clutch issue. Any idea what power your car makes?

Thanks. What was your favorite speed for a roll race in 2nd gear? 40 seems ok for me and most people agree to it, 45-50 might work better for me but most guys don't wanna go that high for a roll unless on the highway, then they want 60 which sucks for this car.

Different gearing. A 60 roll is too high for 2nd gear and too low for 3rd in my car.

I would suggest 45-50(best) for 2nd. NEVER do a 60 unless you want to handicap yourself from the start. As you stated, it is too high for 2nd and too low for 3rd.

Keep in mind that people that know street racing will know your car as well, and will try and put you at a bad spot.

45-52 is where where your money is at... You can do 55 in 2nd when you can shift beast, and I mean BEAST, if not you will loose the "momentum" on the shift.

Yea I'll try to do 45mph once I get my clutch fixed, honestly I'm not sure how fast I can shift this car yet because of the issues.

Most people who ask to race want to do a 30 and I can't race in 1st because my car doesn't always go into 2nd gear, even when driving slow. Sounds like excuses but i bought it used and I'm trying to work out the bugs lol so all 2nd gear roll racing for now...

Finally got my dyno sheet and was able to see where I make peek torque, which is at 4700ish rpms, which according to a chart I saw was 52mph... Looks like I'll try to get people to do a 50 roll lol 50-140 will be ideal for me.

50 roll in your car would hit hard. Runs strong, good race.

My 5.0 loved 40-45 rolls in 2nd, MT82 tranny with 3.31's were perfect with the Paxton.

And thanks, I'm hoping I can get people to agree to a 50, most of them want lower speeds.

Got my new GoPro, still waiting on the car mount tho, so hopefully higher quality videos to come soon and some day time ones too. As long as I can get the clutch issue fixed
