Really hate reading things like this where innocent people are the result of morons out racing in places they shouldn't be. 118mph in a 40mph? They're not getting out of jail any time soon.

I'm not sure what exactly the black box does but hopefully it will make for a conviction. This can happen anywhere, on any street. It is just more likely in some places and times. I am sure we will hear more from the street race defenders but there is no safe place to Street race.

A couple of years back I caught all manner of **** for jumping on a member who posted up their Mexican Interstate Race... where 150+ morons RECORDED themselves passing FULLY LOADED busses like they were standing still.
It's IDIOCY.

Agreed. Older I get the more I agree with no street racing. I built my current car to run away from new stock cars very quickly so I don't have to wind out the car if it happens. 100 is about as fast as I care to go on a public street and that's pushing it, highway is a tad different but still not interested in moon runs.
it's a "Green, Pedal, Brake" game. 0-60ish ... .
My whole setup is entirely built to win that race.
I realize a lot of kids think that's nonsense, but I don't care. It's what building a hot-rod is all about. The high speed game is fine, but that is what a track is for.

I assume just the ECU. Way back in 1990, we had a Prelude with issues at the stealership. Tech read the ecu and found a 4th to 2nd shift at about 110, that wasn't warrantied.
I don't know where that stuff is logged in the ecu, tho.
Never see that on the EFI threads.
