Personally, I am glad that GM got the Camaro back to a respectable performance level that lives up to its name and lineage. In the end, we (the consumer) all benefit from this since it causes the big 3 manufacturers to continuously elevate the performance of their cars at least until the government decides to restrict them again.
For Ford (as stated by others), this is only a temporary setback and will soon respond with a performance upgrade for the Mustang. I have a feeling that the GT350 motor will soon be the standard for the GT within a couple of years. This is a great time to be a car guy.

I can't see a Voodoo going mainstream GT. They wouldn't have limited the run of GT350s if this was the case. What's a Voodoo crate worth?

I won't disagree with Ford having to respond to the 6th gen - they only waited until the 5th gen ZL1 was released to drop the 662hp GT500 the following model year.

5.0 have more potential than a 5.2
5.2 has 12.0:1 compression which means internal modification
5.0 doesn't need any modifications internally to run respectable 1/4 #s
Only problem is the GT350 is such a better looking car

The S550 could pick up quite a bit from some easy weight changes and better exhaust design. We'll see what Ford comes up with. While the interior is much better on s550 over my s197, I'm not quite sold on the looks of them yet to consider one.
