You should get some ebay headers along with an ORY pipe, and swap in an m6 rear end with 3.42 gears and a 3600 stall. Then get it tuned. Those cheap mods would make a huge difference with drag radials. You would definitely spank that 5.br0.

Lol actually you guys advice is right in line with my vision, I believe my rmc is starting to leak so I was thinking of stalling it while I'm there , also lid, ls6 intake (I have one laying around), headers and exhaust also in a few months a small cam.

Just make sure you get a good transmission cooler for the stall. With those mods plus a cam, you should be able to run high 11s full weight. I'd go with a FAST intake though if I were you.

On The Tree
TSP makes a decent set of longtube headers (1 7/8). They're $400 I think

Yeah until you get some good flowing heads and a decent sized cam to match with, you'll be fine with that ls6 intake.
Couldn't agree more.
Like whiplash said, get a good trans cooler, you'll need it and high 11's is not a problem for a stalled, cammed ls1 so your goals are right on spot.

Unfortunately they went up in price lately, but most guys here run this one or the 70274. The 70266 works fine for mine and I do alot of in town driving with high 180's in mid summer, stop and go with a little beating on it. Highways stays low to mid 160's.

If I don't beat on it then it stays in the mid 170's mid summer stop and go.
Edit: it's worth it though, because without one you'll burn your transmission up in no time because of the heat.

Thanks guys, all the suggestions and help is greatly appreciated...I've been doing a ton of research to figure out what I'd need to get to my goal but having people who has been there and done it is priceless, also 85$ for a trans cooler and that's awesome will definitely pick one up , 200-400 for headers Is also great. Quick question though y or X pipe? And came size?
