Jake's advice is pretty good.

High 11s can be done w bolt ons with an a4. Id run a pan off a truck and weld your axle tubes along with a rear end girdle

Turbo kit if that's your budget. Power per dollar way better than an all motor setup.

I guess. The advancements in tuning & being able to use different fuels or cooling methods to keep a stock bottom end alive are absolutely phenomenal. I wouldn't be scared to push any LS motor to 550-600whp on stock bottom end as long as you got the fuel or cooling mods for it.

plus if hes looking to spend less than $5k.... then turbo might not be the best idea. Kits ive found are usually upwards of $6k (unless you do all ebay shopping)

Better than spending $5k+ on an all motor setup that probably won't net you anymore than 425whp. All motor setups these days cost more than a turbo kit lmao.

Edit: my kit will be done for less than $1,200.

Turbo sounds nice, but this is my DD so it being reliable is very important to me.

With just stall, full exhaust, your ls6 intake, tune, and drag radials it'll be a whole different car. And will hurt a lot of Butts on the street. Then you can keep doing little **** like TB, ram air, weight reduction. You don't even need a cam to run solid 11's.

Call Brian tooley and tell him what you want done he will hook you up for your cam. Trans cooler that was mentioned is a definite must! I'd go x pipe and dumps imo. Also get a trunion upgrade. A truck MAF at your local junk yard. SLP lid is like $110.

Didn't the parts come in a brown paper bag with the receipt stapled to it, and a couple fortune cookies in the bottom?

Do your homework, even just starting out with bolt ons and a stall could be a great learning tool for further mods. And if you have any questions just ask.
Good luck, 4th Gen is a great platform for a go fast build

^^^ I like sleepers. We had a buddy with A4 Z28, small stall converter, stock snowflakes with M/T drags, bolt-ons and a quiet muffler. Surprised a lot of people

Honestly I want it to be a looker, I don't want it to sound like a drag car or anything...to start with I'm going to stall it, gear it and do headers and intake and drs. Then after I tire of that I'll start looking at building it.
