ok now I have to chime in. I was driving home last week in the V wagon (sold it btw) on bw8 cruising around 80 ish (light traffic). I pull along and slowly pass a 2016 vw turbo r 400. He immediately pulls right behind me passes the car that was in front of him and gets next to me. I drop down to 50 (2nd gear paddle shift) and we count it off. Low and behold that little fucker actually put about a car on me by 110 but after that it was pretty much over for him. We ran a bunch of times from 45 ish to 145 ish and he was never more than 2 cars behind me. My V made 672 to the ground and 637 tq. I was absolutely blown away and could not believe the fight he put up. Yes it was obviously a bolt on tuned car but Jeez louise it impressed the crap out of me. So in the 5.0's defense that might not had been a horrible loss. keep in mind those things are all wheel drive too. I would not mind having one to toy around with, shit thinking about ditching my 15 evo and getting one myself lol. |
That's awesome man! I run with a bunch of guys that have cars I wouldn't give a second look at, but surprised the hell out of me. I like seeing cars like this that no one expects it from. |
