went to run my buddy in his fbo 5.0 (suspension and all) 450 rwhp. I even had the youtube intro ready! we get all set up and he backs out at the last second with a ton of excuses. He didn't want to break his mt82, he didn't want to spin and go into the ditch, his tires all half bald, etc etc etc. The race never happened and for him I feel it would have been an easy win. smh

Thanks man! they are getting pretty affordable though. I stole mine (salvage title) hit a curb zero frame or structural damage. I'm all in it under 10k 58k original miles and mint condition. I sold the C6Z and V wagon to put down on a new house (my current house mortgage is killing me). I couldn't resist passing up this car as going from a 674 hp v wagon to my dd (2009 civic si) it was brutal. This C5Z is one of the funnest (not a word) car's I've owned. I freaking love it!

I bet the 5.br0 TB spacer wasn't spacing correctly, thus he had to bail on the runs.

Post it cory, that should be a damn ggod run. Tbh I'm 98% sure he would have taken me with ease but I still am curious to see what she does against a fb0 5.0 as it stands (stock). I have plans for my C5Z but I'm not sure on how practical it is actually lol. I definitely need to go faster (coming out the V2) but am debating upgrading my entire drivetrain and going heads cam ls7, or just selling it and bumping up to a C7 base M7 and add a f1x lol.

Nice kill man. I really enjoy C5Z's, I'd like to own one some day. They just flat out work with what they have going for them. They're light as hell, look awesome, but have their fair share of issues. Steering column lock ftl.
I've heard the raw feeling comment about those cars a lot and I'd agree. I've only ridden in one that was a bolt on one, but I need to drive one to really get a feel for it.
