2012 Genesis vs 2014 Mustang 3.7
So there's this kid in town that recently got his car. He's been going around saying hes the fastest V6 in town (I know it's like measuring behind your *****) and could easily walk my car. So I finally caught him out last night, and this is what happened
Genesis: Full Exhaust, Tune
Mustang: unknown mods, at least an axle back

Are the 15 V6s any faster than the previous Gens? And thanks. Next mod I'm hoping to turbo it next year. Maybe then I can play with some of the big boys. This car would be a lot faster if they would've turned the TM down for 1st gear.

From my understanding the 15 model makes more low/ midrange power due to a revised intake and tuning, but no more peak power. My dad has the A8 (which has a 3.91 gear I believe) and mine has the A6 with a 3.55 gear. Based on what I've seen I should have the advantage due to weight, but in the real world who knows lol.
Yeah your setup with a turbo would be a real sleeper lol. What kind of power can those cars hold on the stock internals?

I've heard that they've underrated these cars on power. I need to get it on the dyno and see what it makes

Damn that's not really too bad at all. I've also heard of them dynoing around mid 270s stock. Wife has watched too many YouTube videos of **** blowing up on the dyno that she doesn't want me to :-/

Jusy basically from the exhaust. Which cinsisted of 2 mufflers that were like 30lbs each(took 2 guys to take them off), 4 cats, and factory X. So probably somewhere around 70lbs?

Gotcha. You know, you might be better off just hitting it with a small shot of nitrous when needed. Have you considered that? Would be far cheaper, and not always stressing the setup

Actually have. Thought about running a 75-100 wet shot. Think that might be a little fun

Honestly haven't heard many boosting these here in the states. In Korea, they have supercharged ones. Go figure that one right. But not sure how much they'll hold. The kit for the coupe show to be making over 500 with 8psI I think.

May have to look into that before our season ends
Coupe or Sedan? Either way that's freaking insane! They have a fully built coupe making around 1000
