Default h/c ls1 vs cammed ls3 and cts-v

Got a couple runs in with my friends tonight in my ls1 camaro. First run was with a cammed ls3 camaro, it made 470ish rwhp last time it was dynoed. We went from about a 45mph roll, they took off slightly before i did so at the beginning of the run i was about half a car behind their back bumper. We shut it down when i was at the top of 3rd and the nose of my car was at the door so i pulled a lil but overall was a close race. Unfortunately that is the only run i got against the camaro. Next up was the cts-v, the only mod it has is a cai and cutouts and it made 503rwhp before the cutouts were installed on the same dyno the camaro was on. We got in multiple runs from about 45 or so and everytime we were pretty much dead even. Overall im satisfied as i have a very mild h/c setup. All the cars were m6's and as they do more mods we will run again.

What HCI do you have? How fast did you get up to running the Caddy? I assume the LS3 was a 5th Gen Camaro?

I have ai ported 243's with their 226/234 cam and im still running the factory ls6 intake and stock tb as well as the factory dual dual exhaust so the car is fairly quiet and a bit of a sleeper. With the caddy we only got to run til i was at the end of third everytime which is a lil over 100 since i still have stock gearing. Im pretty sure with gears i would have pulled on him, he was halfway through 4th on those runs. And yes the ls3 was a 5th gen camaro.

Gotcha. Sounds like you did pretty good then. Any dyno or track numbers on your ride?

Car made 430rwhp with a slipping clutch when i dynoed it over 2 years ago. Unfortunately i put the h/c on right before i got orders out here to hawaii and there is no track on the island im on so no track times. Really want to find an area where i can run the cts-v for a lil longer.

Reminds me of my run with a CTSV at the track. My car was full weight then. Good runs though.
