Default 2015 bm5 M6 vs 2016 C7Z06

Well guys no vid (sorry). I picked up my C7Z today and was literally driving it home from where I met the truck driver (out of state purchase). I had no exp with this thing and had clocked less than 4 actual miles on it when low and behold up comes a grey wrapped M6 (obviously modded). He blows around me and I downshift it to 3rd and immediately catch up. No honks and he took the hit, I was on his bumper (next lane over) but tbh did not pull him at all. I hit the rev limiter a few times (3rd and 4th) so tbh a major driver mod is needed lol. I also forgot to turn off the tc and put it in competitive mode. There is my loss for the day, It was a blast and this car pulls great for stock but I think my V wagon was a hair faster (full bolt ons and cammed). More to come along with vids I promise =)

Thanks guys! Going in Saturday for headers, exhaust, pulley and tune. Definitely too slow for me for now. It is pretty basic but was affordable (somewhat). Don't know why but I'm digging the chally Hellcats and having a bit of buyers remorse. I'm sure after the mods that will fade away (hopefully).

C7Z06 is way the hell cooler than a Hellcat. After those mods you'll forget about the wagon in no time. Also the newish turbo m6's are no joke even stock. Honorable death to a modified one imo.

Over eating issue today Had to get it towed to stealership. So much for my mods going in tomorrow (ups delivered yesterday and today). It's under warranty but here we go. Btw was running a gtr on I10 when this happened, talk about an embarrassment.

the overheating issue has something to do with the cooling system probably not being properly bled

Cooling is very suspect with them baby 1.74L blowers. Throw a centri on it and prosper.

This... Don't know why but that LT4 was a disappointment. That lil 1.7 and they overheat and weigh about 350 pounds heavier than C6. If you keep the car put an F1 on it. AMP did it with a custom cam and that car runs 9.30s with stock auto...

Looks like it's a bit more serious than I thought. Might be getting a buy back? If so I'm getting a Z07 and competition seats this time. Kinda early to tell but that is what my service rep was discussing. 263 miles on the clock and I basically need an engine???

I was gonna say the same thing... Clearly did not read the break in procedure for the LT4 with the dry sump system... There is a reason they do a 500 mile oil change on dry sump cars....

Hopefully you get it repaired or replaced quickly..

Maybe learn about the car before instantly hammering the **** out of it when its brand spankin new.

(and I'm not normally a "break in" kind of guy but....)
