first race in the tank lol
Hey guys, I have a 2016 charger scatpack it's stock.. yesterday I was Making a late night trip to the beach and saw new mustang headlights pull up fast on the side of me, so I already knew someone wanted to play lol.. I took a good look at his car and it had roush badges on it and sounded like a healthy v8. So we line up at 75 mph and punch it, he pulls me by 2 cars by the time we hit 130 mph..
So we keep driving and we line up again, this time I roll down my window and tell him to slow down. I hear him downshift and we slow to 40 mph this time and I do the 3 honks and we take off to about 120mph and this time on the clean run I beat him by a car and a half.. is that how that race should go? Or should he have beat me both times? The 2nd run was very clean imo .

Stock to stock you should have a slight edge, so the 2nd race sounds about right. If it had Roush badges I'm sure it was just the appearance package. This is the 2015 style right?

Yea he definitely didn't sound like he had anything, just sounded like a healthy v8 lol. I've been wanting to test my car out too and he came along so I was happy to get this race to see how my car would do since it's so big and heavy lol. I'm hoping in 2 weeks I can get a race against a bolt on 4th gen .. will see

I'd imagine a full bolt on 4th gen f-body should be a good race. My buddy has a bone stock 2015 Challenger Scatpack with the A8, and in perfect like track conditions he ran 12.2 @ 113. I was impressed for such a big car lol

Haha in 2 or 3 weeks I plan on taking her to the 1/8th mile track here in ca. But I also plan to get some MT drag radials for track only. Right now I have 315 all season toyo proxes on the back. They hook better than the 245 tires that came with the car lol

Yeah I can see that...the car is so much bigger so the 315 looks more how it should have came stock lol. My 2000 SS has 315's, and it does look pretty beefy
How do you like this car compared to your old f-body?

Scatpacks run really well, especially from a roll. I ran one a few months back and just let my car downshift and upshift by itself (instead of going to 2nd it chose 3rd, then shifted at 6500 instead of 7000) and barely pulled a car on him 65-110mph. Then when we slowed down and I tried to get another run in he told me he was going to work and had to turn off.
Once again I broke my own rule of ALWAYS racing in kill mode.
