Got pre approved today...its on

Got 3 1ss a8 im dealing with between dealers for 30-32k. Trying to get the best price. 2 of them black one is nightfall gray. I'm leaning toward the nfg. Looks pretty good and should stay clean much easier. It's the closest but also 31,700. Only one of them has npp. The other two are standard but have sunroof

DA is 400 today. Milan is open till November 15 I think Getting such a good deal and such a good rate I've even got money left for a full drag pack setup.

What's everyone's opinion on rear tire height for this thing for a 17 DR? Stock is 28. I've seen some available in the 26 range but thought it might be a bit much?...

If everything goes as planned I'll be picking one of them up next weekend.

Nice! If you are over 5ft9, stay away from the sunroof....very hard to fit with a helmet if you plan on going to the track.

This. I'm surprised at the headroom difference between a sunroof and non-sunroof car. Definitely going non-sunroof when I get one. Not sure a helmet would even fit. It'd be tight

Correct. I'm 6ft. Seat all the way down in a sunroof car I could get my head to skim the ceiling if I sat up tall. Helmet no go.

My grandfather has a 16 SS hyper blue Vert.So good headroom in that lol. I'm gonna pull in and surprise him lol.

It's a done deal. Just put 1000 down. Black 1ss a8. Npp and a glow tie. No sun roof. 20% off plus 1,400 discount. Paid 30,803.20 with temp tag and doc fee. Will pay tax when I register. Buying out of state in Pennsylvania. This is less than I paid for my 2010 1ss manual! Insane ! I almost can't even believe it lol.

Milan open till November13-14. I'm ordering drag pack stuff tonight. Will be otherwise stock. 1ss a8 npp fastest combo but I'm 250 lol. I may pull the seats. Run it 1/4 tank. DA should be around 500-1000 since I been checking lately. Temps in the 50s

I'm thinking very good shot at 11s. And it will get some breakin miles with the 600 Mile drive home lol

Good air like that and a good track like Milan with a drag pack you shouldn't need to pull seats. However if you hit a 12.0X and want a pinch quicker I won't dig you for pulling seats to attain your goals

I would PM ochristiano on here. He has a 6G and has tried a few tire combos on it.

Good deal man! Hope you get the one you want. I would stay with 28" tires... on a 17" wheel that would be 305/45-17. ET Street R radials in that size are the ****. Make sure you can fit a 17" wheel though with back brakes.

Congrats man! No pulling of seats allowed. According to Hiocrew it will be racecar and classified with the Br0s who do it. Never understood the pulling of seats... not that big of a difference.

70 to 80lbs of wr for 6 mins of work isn't a bad deal.

WR is WR, why is it more reasonable to spend thousands on it instead of doing it for free?

Congrats ultra. I would stay closer to a 26" tire. Cc found his didn't really like the taller tire. Oe tire is 27.5 by the way.

If you have ever paid any attention to the record tire only cars they mostly have shorter tires on them.

A 28" dr would probably add totating weight. I would steer clear if about any advice dome if these guys have to offer.

Was looking at exactly those tires. Just didn't know if a 26 make it more better better gearing lol

The 17 race stars work. The 10 sec cammed car runs them. Couple others as well. He's also a race star dealer. I pm him hope he can hook me up. Think I can get the whole set with tires for around 2k if pricing is good.

If anything I may just pull the back seats. That's 40 lbs. from what's been reported. I planned on it anyway. I got no kids and the back seats are worthless anyway. I'll keep them in the garage if I need them. I don't plan on ragging the car out it will stay mostly full weight. CF driveshaft, drag pack and pull the back seat be as far as it goes for weight loss.

Been looking a bit. Sizing is limited for a good tire that's 26-27 for a 17. Don't want a slick will be driving it to the track. Need a good DR

The problem with a 26" tire is how it will look on the car. The ones I currently have 295/45-17 are 27.4 tall, and not sure I would want a 26" tire on back. My front runners are 26".

With that said a 26" tire will help you out of the hole a little better, but you will have to determine where that will put you shift point wise at the end of the 1/4. What you don't want it for the car to shift 100ft before the line.

At my 11.81 power level, my car was going through the traps at 7200rpm in 3rd gear and the ecu was commanding 4th gear shift. So I am at a crossroads of how I want to proceed. 28" tire will hurt me some off the line, and 26" tire will shift sooner. Its always a game with getting the perfect runs in.

What would you think about the 295/45/17 on my car? it's a bit shorter than the 305 but a slightly narrower and less sidewall...
What brand ? They hook up good?

I know what you mean about shift points etc... too tired to think about all that right now calculating tire height rpm etc
