I have seen 10.8 @ 129 from a Intake, tune, tire C7Z. They are pretty quick with the 8spd auto crutch.

I bet if the GT100's had an 8 speed autos it would be a "crutch" also right?

I seen a stock manual c7z with stock tires go 11.1. He was having a hell of a time with traction. He could have went tens easily with a tire or better prep.

I almost beat him once when he went 11.4 to my 11.7 i treed him and he was spinning halfway down the track lol. Passed me right before the line

The manual c7zs really don't run all that well. They were getting gaped when the first came out.

I think automach recently cracked a 9 sec pass. Is that correct or was it somebody else that I'm thinking of?

I added a CAI, went back and had -1300' DA, it went 10.66@129... stock tires, stock 30 psi air pressure. No tune, no nothing.. 3760lbs that night.

To be completely honest, I expected a bit more but...It is what it is. I was hoping for 130 mph trap stock but...no dice.

There is quite a few C7Zs that have been considerably quicker/faster then mine at better tracks like Atco/MIR. The record is 10.30@134 on stock wheels but with DRs, but I do not see how its physically possible honestly.

C7z is a hell of a car. Not alot of cars hang with them in stock trim, or modded for that matter

Chody did go 9s. Good on him!

I believe Jake is referring to one of Chody's first track visits. I just find it amusing when people dog on other people track times but have never ran at the track themselves.

Thanks man.

Yeah thats how it is sometimes.

I have another track I race at (Lonestar Motorsports Park) about 1.5 hrs away, my 71' runs exactly 1.5 mph slower there in similar air to running it at RPR...

Also on my old 01' GSXR1000 it would run 140-141 mph in any weather at RPR, yet at LMP it would only go 139. I used to bracket race that bike so it was consistent.

I'm not sure if its the timing system or what but...definitely a difference in the track itself and not DA.

I would love to run the Z at Atco or MIR where guys are running 10.30s-10.40s@132-133 bone stock with them.

Thanks Mike. I did go 125 on one pass with it. They are real finicky about getting all the nannies set right and cooling them down properly... If you just drive in hot off the street and make a pass, they gonna go 125.

I was really hoping I could coax 130 mph out of it so it would match a stock ZR1 trap but....no dice. Hell I couldn't hit 130 with a CAI and much better air for some reason. I was a little disappointed in that.

These cars are weird.... They are dogs out of the hole due to the torque management and throttle restriction, then they come on hard a car legnth out and are real quick in the middle of the track, then around the 1000' it shifts to 5th and it just dies from the gear spacing.

I think when the A10s come out with the much better gear spacing, they are gonna mph much better.

All I'm gonna do to this one is some bolt ons/meth/tune and get some 9.90s@135-136 or so and thats gonna be it for this one. I'm not going full retard like I did with the C5Z,

Hell ya man. You know what you are doing!

Some tracks are slower than others even with the same DA. Be it prep, wind, timing system, ect.... it's just the way it is.
