Well the LSA is an overall better & stronger engine than the LS3. Stronger block, upgraded crank, pistons & rods (stronger & lighter rotating assembly), upgraded oiling system, stronger & better flowing heads. Makes sense.

Who knows. Original LS3 could offset the cost quite a bit I suppose. A certain cost doesn't hurt everyone's pocket book the same, so it could be a very sensible upgrade to some I guess. I just mentioned it originally because a lot of folks think a LSA is simply a LS3 with a blower on it, but there's a lot more to it than that.

I agree, but if he had a perfectly good LS3 and took it out and put an LSA in there then he just wasted a lot of money regardless of how wealthy he is. Plus, there are better built longblocks you can buy for the price of an LSA that will hold more power/boost. Just doesn't make sense to me I guess is all I'm saying.

Who knows man. Maybe he blew the LS3 and got a good deal on a LSA pullout to replace it. Maybe already had a LSA from a previous project. We don't know why he swapped it or under what circumstances, but there are plenty of plausible reasons why it would make financial sense to someone to do so. Or we could just assume he's an idiot I guess.

Some people say stuff like that to rile people up and gets races/bets. He definitely didn't live up to the Z06killer name, but that Z06 wasn't your typically fixed heads + mild cam kinda setup you run into most often either.
