I was on my way home and a maroon terminator pulled up next to me at the light. Revved his car and it was crazy loud!! It had to have at least an exhaust, it sounded amazing! My car is 03' Z with VR intake only!

Well, I pulled around and behind him and got in front of traffic then pulled over next to him and slowed down a bit. I noticed he had a double piller pod on his car, so he had to have something to give more than the 10lbs of boost. Maybe just a pulley, who knows!

1st run was from 3rd at about 45mph and I thought I was gonna lose. I pulled him pretty hard all the way through 3rd and even harder in 4th.

2nd run was from 3rd again and same result. I pulled at least 4-5 cars on him.

last run we pulled off on a side road and started in 2nd. I spun a bit and got traction, but he was pretty close with me. 3rd I started to pull a bit till I hit the top of 3rd, and in 4th I pulled on him hard.

I'm impressed with this car!! 3rd and 4th are no joke!!! This car pulls so hard up top its insane. Had fun and the guy was pretty cool. We went our separate ways, he waved and gave me a thumbs up. Would have been cool to talk with hm a bit and find out what was on his car. It was beautiful. No Corvette though.

Z06 stock is too much for a termi on the track with a cool motor....on the street it gets worse.

yeah, and I'm pretty sure his was NOT stock. It sounded too mean, plus he had 2 gauges on his A-piller.. so I'm assuming he had something pushing more boost.

That just validates what you said though.

Maybe it was 55mph come to think of it. We were doing 70mph and slowed way down. I felt like 45mph, but it probably was faster.

Stock Cobra is a high 12 second car and traps 110-113 depending on air. Stock post 01 is a low 12 second car and traps 117 ish. A pulley tune will not close that gap especially on the street. However lots of variables on the street so anything can happen.

I've seen it close that gap many time mike. Actually more often than not. You do realize pulley cars trap typically between 117-122 right?

I do not agree with that at all. Pulley /tune on a Cobra doesn't equal 122 MPH traps and will not add just about 10MPH-that is about 100HP. It needs more mods than that. I been around,driven,owned plenty of them. Ported blower,exhaust mods etc are needed for that. Again to many variables on the street. But the Cobra has a lot going against it in regards to heat soak. I have outran plenty of faster Terminators with slower cars and I am pretty sure it was due to heat soak.

Then why did JP's go 121mph in 88° heat? Pulley exhaust and tune. I think you're painting with a broad brush. I mean cmon dude go look at the fast list. Fastest pulley only cobra went 11.05 @ 126. You're being like the Ford dudes who say cam only fbodies don't reach 11's ever. Again, these are real world experiences that I've seen.

In my gen 1 cts i took out a convertible 04/04 cobra from 60-130 with intake catback and short throw shifter from 60-130. my buddy who was driving(3 total on a road trip) he put 2-3 lengths on him. best part was that my other buddy is a die hard mustang fan and i laughed at him the rest of the trip. iknow the cobra had at least an exhaust.
