lol I had a 09 Grand Prix last year I picked up with a busted transmission for 900 and sold it for 2400. Bought a used junk yard trans for 350.00. Made a quick buck, The thing ran like a champ.

I really like my 3.90s... shift at 6600 and it didn't feel like a huge gear change from 3.42s like I expected.

The guy said he had 3.9s in here before the 10 bolt broke and he loved then. May go that route again.

T56 and 3.90s is a very nice pairing for a quick street car you like to cruise around in as well.

I've ran 3.90s for years. Just swithed to a 4.00 gear. We'll see how that goes.

The 10bolt likes nothing. But 3.90s is likely the strongest.

4.11 is better than 4.10 for strength also. The teeth on the ring gear is thicker.

Think 3.90s would be the most I'd go with. Since I may still take it out of town on trips

I run a 4.11/t56/26in tire and have no complaints on long trips. I drive 80-90mph for a solid hour to the track and it's not an issue

I think they are 25-2600 rpms at 70. I don't know about 80-90. I don't feel like it's intolerable at all, even with dumped duals

That's good to know since I usually run with my cutout open

How much is there to be gained by polishing gears?
