Vette needs some real mods seeing a catback adds nothing but sound, not sure about a zip tye but i dont think its much. 6spds always win from a roll with similar power.

Idk man. It is ok. I have yet to miss 2 to 3 but I have missed 4th a few times now. I have never missed fourth even with a stock shifter. I like the longer throws though. It helps me not slam the gears more. Overall I am happy with this.

So wrong, a good aftermarket catback might add 2 or 3hp. Lol
JRod here on tech posted before and after dyno runs with the stock C5 air box vs zip tie mod. Gained 15whp and 11wtq. Quite respectable. This was on a 370whp car, so there must have been a few other bolt-on mods involved previously. I'd guess a few less horsepower and torque gain on an otherwise stock C5.

Basically remove the front/top cover of the airbox and hold the open airfilter to the back/bottom cover with a couple zipties. The front/top cover of the stock C5 airbox has two small openings (just big enough to stick your thumb into) on either side of the airbox, very restrictive.

Converters are fun until you start adding power like nitrous. Right now my edge 4000 stall is loose so I have to have it re-stalled now that i've added a 150 shot. Also 4.10 gears need to be swapped out for 3.75's. I have no interest in going through the traps in 4th gear in my 4l60e
