Not really. I see no real conclusion that it is.
Now vs the 6gen maybe. But that's only because of lack of di fueling options. Once they start dual injection on the lt's that will go away.
With that said when making power with boost things can go either way in a quick hurry. It far more depends on the set up than the engine type. Examples are even 4cyl can run on boost.

There is an orange procharged 5g auto here in Houston (I think he's kin to Matt at Florida speed) if I'm not mistaken and that thing is just nasty! It hurts a lot of feelings and is extremely impressive. I'm sure someone on here might chime in who knws more about it than I do.

Well i already said it's mostly a fuel issue for the lt's. As for the coyote being forged.....they may have had to go forged to handle the durability of high combustion pressures gointhrough furds development. It is a smaller engine so it's gonna have more pressure in the cylinder than a lt of larger displacement. That would require a better piston. Now how good is the forging is the question. Termi motors had forged pistons but weren't of that great a quality. Cp pistons was a upgrade and thats what's in my termi more.
When you say better at boost i tend to think the engine that makes more power at lower psi and on pump gas is the better one.

Extra 100rwhp advantage and seems as though the 5G needed the camera guy in the Br0 to stand a bit more of a chance.
Like others, I too am confused by the th400 swap. 6r80 will handle 680. Maybe it was originally an empty82 car? Only rationale I can think of.
5G and c7 sounded like sex either way. C7 held it's own with meh shifting.

Turbos are rated for HP due to CFM performance.
PS.Did you ever get your 7675 on kill? If so what did it run at the 1/4?

I am not an expert on coyotes, but I would not believe the statement made previously about them being better with boost until I have seen a decent amount of examples.
As far as my car, I had meth issues the morning of the dyno and couldn't get it fixed before the first snow/salts here. I suspect I'll hit 800/800 on 93 + meth next time around on stock bottom.
My big issue still remains with the dr's I have on 20" wheels. I don't think there is enough side wall to get them to hook from a second gear roll. Right now I can run 8psi and they still break at the top of second. I think I need more sidewall.

There is just more mustangs doing it, they are everywhere, like cockroaches.
I was out the other day cruising (with my 350lb gf), when out of nowhere was surrounded by 3 5.0s and one Boss.... They started reving their engines at me..... lol.

Agreed. Most people think in terms of boost (even though it is a measure of restriction. The LS3 flows so much air that it most likely would register less boost than the coyote given the same cfm coming out of the poweradder. To me this would mean at the same boost level, the LS3 should put out more power (let's say both at 8psi).
Same PSI would be greater CFM for the LS3 due to differences in engines.

Lots of fast boosted coyotes out there with no internal mods. LS3 only chance is SBE.

That sux and I bet 800 is attainable.

when I made 703rwhp it was at 5200-5400rpm, far less than my previously peak hp of 6300rpm before I added boost. I think i resolved the restrictions and hope to be able to hold boost and carrier further in the rpm band. I plan to go back in May and see what it does.
thanks for the words!

i think you posted in another thread, but what tires are you running? Maybe with some break in and hot weather they may start to hook, but who knows.

I'm not telling you anything, but bsfc, burn rate, compression ratio, and fuel. The on3 76 I have for tuning and debugging has definite flow limits. I'm curious to see if I can get more out of it than others. It's a throw away anyway. I'm planing to run c16 and just let it eat. I haven't seen anyone push it past 18 psi, or if it can even handle it.
