I don't know, looked like 2 to 1 for the s2k and it got it because he got out 1/2 a car and then hit the brakes before the cobra could have a chance to go around him. lol
Why you think the s2k with gokart weight and terbo LS felt the need to ricer a "win" vs a nearly full weight cobro?
PS. Terbo camero got railed...ouch and OMG.

No car ever pulled past him nearly as fast as the s2000. Seemed every race he lost was his own fault. When he took off clean and shifted clean and at the right rpm it wasn't even close. At peak acceleration he was yanking him at a ridiculous rate...just something I noticed.

That 2jz car is either making more power than when I saw it or he's learned to drive it better. He got beat a few times the couple of times he's made the trip down here.
Maybe we're just superior to texas, who knows.

Damn that Cobra was wrecking everyone! Bad *** car!
That's Ty with the silver C5Z... I've been trying to talk him into putting an auto in that thing for years but....He is all about the stick shift.
This was one of the better TX2k17 vids I seen yet.... So far, there really hasn't been **** for good footage.

S2k was almost in the above group, but had one clean run and didn't run out IMO.

Rods are rated for 9k rpms. The heads will support 9k rpms.

I have a question for you. I've never considered cams for the turbo. I assume you cammed the slow-brah. How much of a power increase do the cams add? I've always just increased the boost controller and let boost make the power. I'm 100 percent confident I will make 1000rwhp with more boost, a bigger turbo/injectors and no other changes. I wonder at that point if changing to turbo cams and revving it to 8k+ rpms is worth doing. Of course I'd have to shorten the runners.

I do think that doing turbo cams can help lower back pressure and therefore be able to push your turbo further. Allowing you to make more HP with the same turbo.
I can pull 8500 according to accufab, but I try and keep it under 8000.

We raced with that black 2jz S2k in Indy last year, thing is fast as **** once it gets going. Seems like he always has issues with getting it into gear though; owner is cool as hell though and I reallllly like that car.

2k17 was hot as fish grease this year. I heard countless stories of the cops and peeps going to jail. We usually have some kind of a post 2k follow up afterwards so I'm anxious about that. I will be picking my car up finally this week so man I'm down af to run something half *** fast.

376 ls3 with callie rods and wiseco flat top pistons, ls9 headgaskets, arp head studs, nightfury cam. e85 + triple pumps + fic 127lbs. stock tr6060 + mcleod twin disk. hellion twin turbo kit with twin PT 62/66 on 18 psi. Put down 1050 rwhp. it's a pretty heavy car i think its 3900 without me in it.
Literally finished and tuned the car a day before that race, so it didn't do bad for a last minute build.
