This guy wanted to get a baseline run after his mods (VTT stage 2 turbo, intake, catback, tune on 93). He couldn't find a stock GT to run so I volunteered since stock GT should be fairly even to me. We met up and did a dig, 20 and 40mph in that order. My car has some sort of computer strategy that it doesn't really like to go in 1st gear at 20, throttle closes back even in sport mode and TC off. Yes, quite likely. He was looking for a stock one since he makes roughly 380whp. That turbo upgrade makes crazy torque downlow too. Thanks.

I don't think he stole the hits, I hit the honks nice and slow and would kinda wait a second before going. Didn't want him to tell me I was honking fast and stealing hits. Thanks lol

"Stealing the hit" doesn't necessarily mean that he cheated and went before the count. It can also mean that he beat you out the gate (race 2 and 3).

Ah gotcha. Yea, PCM strategy downlow on the Q50 in addition to his torque advantage means he gets out pretty quickly.

Moves out well, sounds good and looks great.

Id use "treed" at the 1/4 or some event with an actual starting line and light.

I use "stole the hit" anytime someone leaves before their opponent on a street race / roll.
