It is ok you are just delusional. The 5.4/5.8 with GT heads will make more n/a power than any 4.6/5.0. They only thing that made the coyote better was out of the box power because of the factory compression/cams/manifold. Something the 5.4/4.6 never got from the factory. The old Cobra R is a perfect example of 5.4 dominance. They will make similar bolton power as the 5.0 with a lot less compression, a manifold that makes peak power at 5500 and smaller cams.
with only 318 cubic inches, first gen coyotes are capable of over 600 rwhp. 630 is the re order I believe.
2nd gen coyotes need more time for development. My bet is another 20-40 rwhp.

Yes it would be competitive to this day. Uh lets see, aluminium 5.4, Compression at 11.5:1, a better manifold that peaks around 7000, Slightly larger cams, possible direct injection. That would put it around 500sae from the factory. I would take that over the new 5.2 anyday.

Thing is coyote heads are everywhere and anything half decent for the 5.4 is very rare. I know what chody is saying but a decent NA 5.4 is as rare as a virgin on a reserve.

Because they were put in cars that came with blowers. Not that hard to understand it's commons sense. How many n/a ls9/lsa cars do you see? Obviously it is going to be rare.

If it was a great them it should have became the gt motor. The one I saw at the track was running mid to low 13's don't know if that's on par, but for a 500 hp car it sounds a little weak.

So you want an apples to apples comparison or not? I could always add 2 points, put an aftermarket mani on, get some Cobra R cams, and change a few other things. However you would not like that because you would get gaped with both cars at the same weight.

They came in trucks too, you said that they were good N/A motors, they can be swapped. Or a truck can be built too. Lots of LS trucks out there N/A running decent for the weight. There has been a couple unicorns but that's it. Just because a hand full of people did crazy full builds, with good results doesn't make it a good all around N/A motor. If they responded to anything but a full build people would have done it. What do you think a fbo 5.4 f150 makes for power?
