Told yall he didn't leave the 12s with several mods and weight reduction. ......sad really. Especially since drove a ls1 fcar to the 11s with about the same amount of mods and he had less than 5k in the entire car.

That said, the convertible weight tax is significantly less for the Corvette than for the Cobra. While both cars can be driven to better times than posted in that article, had they chosen a coupe versions of both cars the Cobra could have edged out the Corvette. Obviously the Z06 is a different story, but we're talking corvette vs mustang here...should have never been a conversation in the first place.
