Default 2010 GT500 vs LS1 C'merehoe

550hp vs 350hp. Ford sure knows how to build awesome racecars.

Discuss.

Technically the mustang won, yet the Camaro was faster. Obviously this is a troll post just because.

But for sake of discussion, the ford driver isn't that great and the Camaro has more power than simple 350 ponies at the crank.

I pulled one of those turds with my old lid/cat back A4 LS1...from a roll. They're just underperforming pigs.

Yea...13.0@110 is not to impressive for sure for the amount of power that car has. Just have to chalk it up to driver error I guess. Driving your car to a good ET at the track is not as easy as it looks. I am sure it has made many people sell their car after some bad runs.

.4 red light vs .7 reaction time. Mustang won.

Gt500 are very hard to launch on stock tires and cut a good 60ft. Even the 10 at 540hp or the 11-12 at 550hp. Also the 10 was heavier because the iron block.

I would have loved to see the 60ft time of the GT500. I am sure that it was probably >2.5
I would have thought his trap would be higher though.

GT100 needs a blower swap. Nothing new.

I remember seeing them at Cecil in 07 struggle to run 12s. I was shocked. Then seeing them with bolt ons and tires struggle to get out of the 12s. Not an easy car to race due to the weight

I always laugh when furd camp mocks the 5gen ZL1, when they have these turds that are even slower.

That car use to run at OSW every now and then. Intake, exhaust, pulley, and a tune if I'm not mistaken. No, the guy could not drive at the time. Older gentleman.

Back in 2007 when Evolution got their first GT500 they took it straight to Cecil after installing some drag radials. Good track, good air, good driver... stuck in the 13s. It ran the same times as COMPLETELY stock LS1 F-bodies at that track under the same conditions.

Yep, again that's why I chuckle whenever the furd camp makes fun of the 5gen ZL1. It puts bus lengths on these turds.

I've seen multiple manual trans ZL1s struggle to hit 12s as well in good conditions.

Only the skill of the driver can push a car to its full potential. Power does not mean much without a good driver.

Even good drivers struggle with poor platforms.
