Default 2016 6G vs 2010 CTS-V coupe

*Unfortunately I was not prepared and did not get a vid.*

So I was out crusing in Mexico on Labor Day and a black CTS-V rolls up next to me and starts to slow down. I oblidge and down shift into second gear. Sitting at 30 mph the Caddy honks it off, I hit it on the 3rd honk(felt like I was late from the huge throttle input lag thses cars have.) And proceeded to pull out 2.5-3 cars or so then we sat there with no gain either way until letting out around 125-130. Pull up to a light and start chatting with the Caddy driver(had a passenger btw) and both were praising the 6g and asking what I had done to it. I said nothing, just bought it.

After a short discussion, Caddy owner says are you ready? I said yes, then he just said "GO" from a dig and took off getting the hit. He gets out just over a car on me but I managed to stop his pull and stay on his back bumper till we let out around the same speed as the roll race.

Was a pretty good run...not sure what the CTS-V had done. I am guessing stockish? I do know in the short time I have owned this car, more people want to race it then my 4th gen. Good times in a slow stock car Lol!

Stock V2s are not impressive. Most of them will trap less than 115 in the 1/4 mile. Weight kills these cars. I weighed my stock V2 sedan with half a tank of gas and it was around 4280 pounds.

This was a 2 door coupe...not sure if it makes any difference. For some reason I was expecting to get walked.

The coupe *might* be up to 100 lbs lighter. Looking at the 1/4 mile list over at the ctsvowners.com forum, the fastest "stock" auto V2 has been 11.72 @ 119.74 with the slowest "stock" auto V2 being 12.852 @ 112.10.
