Something is just not right with that 96 Cobra
98 was the last year of the B head, 99 and 01 got the C heads.

There is definitely something wrong with hammers car. This was the mustang that I swapped the mark VIII motor in. It has the wrong injectors, the NPI GT tune, the IMRC's zip tied open, stock gt exhaust, and running 3.27 gearing. Improper as ****. It revs almost identical to Hammers car. We both shift at 3, 7, and 12 seconds.

I think something is up with that 96 Cobra.
Agreed, hammer's cobro is in need of serious attention and maintenance.

I hope he sells it soon so it can get the help it desperately needs.

My bad JC, You are correct. The 01 was a "C"/Tumble Port head design and were a little different than the 03/04 Cobra/ MACH head which were about ~17cc larger in volume if I am not mistaken.

The monster tach screwed to the dash is a nice touch. Just sell it to someone who knows wtf they're doing.

@:52.. My 1st gear is very short and I am shifting almost instantly with a 4.10 gear, aftermarket clutch, billet FW and aluminum DS. Not spinning since this is on a DR.
They will rev with a lightweight drivetrain

They're within 1 or 2 mph. Plenty good enough for testing and seeing results gained. Consistent testing is more the key here.

Get some zip ties and keep those IMRC deletes open. That is why it will not rev.

What makes that Cobra a "max effort"? A monster tach and Cummins swap?

You do realize a 12sec 0-90 is like a 14sec car right?

Yea....they were not known for their top end power. I guess guys want to rev them to 7k because it's better than shifting those gutless pos and letting the motir pull back up.

Yeah... Did I ever claim otherwise? I am sure this is coming back to your "ermahgerd, your motor swap car is so slow" bullshit, so I will pre answer your next douchebag comment. It was originally a mid 15 second car, a friend of mine blew up the engine, so I needed to swap the engine anyway. It cost me a grand total of $500 to knock a full second off the 1/4 mile time.
