I read the base model weight is 3860 lbs for the 5.0. Not sure if that was with a full tank or not. What's the weight of a base SS?

I think they mostly weigh with full tanks.

Camaro got the hit. Was still barely faster than the silver Civic getting off of the exit ramp.

From the looks of this the 5gen might give the 18 5.0 a run from a roll on the m6 cars

Yes. My car is exactly how it rolled off the showroom. I went 12.8 at 114.5 with a 2.2 60 and my junk driving (first time ever with a manual trans at drag strip).

So about 3600 lbs with a half tank of gas. That's pretty damn good

Lol....excuses in and vids made of excuses.

He says the hp is close.....but the tq ain't. Hp same or similar the engine with more tq wins if gearing is similar and similar drivers. Also you have clutch weight to take into consideration. I think the clutch gained weight on the mustang and it lost some gearing. Bad news for it there

Another know nothing youtuber like jc.

It's good that you did. It shows what we've known all along. 5br0 guys has a ******* wide enough to drive a camaro through.

I think the bottom line is that they both are going to be a very close race all things being equal. As time goes on with more and more street races, track runs, etc...there will be a general concensus. Just like you'll see the occasional 15-17 5.0 hang with a SS, but we all know which one is truly faster

Once modding starts it all comes down to who did what and it's effectiveness. You can do 3 mods and it not have the effectiveness of 1 mod. Most guys over look **** on the ls and even the lt stuff pretty bad. First thing they want to do is cam it. Even if it only needs new spark plugs.

Yeah it's all quite a bit different. Supposed a lot of upgrades. 4th is now the 1:1 though instead of 5th so it's losing some of the hearing advantage it had

Do you still think that high stalls only work in 1st gear?
