Why does a well built 2000lb car running my old basic bolton combo have to do with his tuning ability? I destroyed that car from a 40 and 50. He was a friend so I agreed to a 60 roll. He won the first one by about 2 cars and the 2nd by 1 car with me starting in the proper gear. I stopped his pull on the 2nd run but he let out a little early 
His car made 450 mine made about 590 at the time of vid. Hate to make excuses but it was 90+ during this race so I doubt it made 590. Adam talks out his ***.
Wrong my car was sub 600 and 39xx at time of vid.
Yea first race was ugly I had to give in and give him a 60

The car had fixed back corbeau buckets, 1 piece driveshaft, tubular k, drag pack, removed supports etc... He would post on here alot more often. You're unaware cause you didn't post in SRK at the time and he has a mustang, hio, hammer and anyone else who was on SRK back then knows what im talking about. Before that car he had a gutted out mach1.

lmao the buckets drop around 70lbs, from factory they come with a 50lb speaker in the trunk that most remove, drag pack drops 100+lbs and gt500s are not all 4000lbs some are 3900lbs. With just those 3 things you have around 300lbs out of the car...

Those cars get very light fast. 2 years ago before i purchased my truck i was looking at them, they're nice cars and in the hands of someone like hio modifying one, they can get down to the lower 3's VERY easily, still have full interior and creature comforts.
If you want to get real autistic and start adding up weights, a 1 piece driveshaft drops 35lbs or so, running dumps with no cats saves 50+ lbs, all the emissions stuff removed a couple lbs here and there, a lightweight clutch saves around 30lbs or so, also i was wrong about the drag pack most report back at 120ish lbs. So with basic crap just upgrading to aftermarket parts you can pull 400+lbs out of the car like nothing, without even getting into tubular k member, light weight battery, no bumper supports, removing interior trim and air pump etc stuff in the trunk, getting lighter suspension components. After all that you're looking at 500-550lbs ish? out of a car without anyone even knowing.
The 2011+ come with an aluminum block and are around 100lbs lighter.

After reading the list it wouldn't take much to get my 2011 in the 3,4xx range for race day.

It looks like an S550 2piece driveshaft that weights around 36lbs. CF aftermarket piece about 18lbs, Aluminum 18-22 depending on company. Did I not tell you I weighted 17x4.5 racestars?? stock gt500 wheels with tire should be around 55lbs for the front, a 15lb skinny with a 21lb front runner is 36lbs. thats 19lbs x 2 thats 38lbs. Does your south florida public schooling math really tell you that another 60-80lbs can be saved from the back?? Using the same 17x4.5 with front runner in the back, saying the car has a slightly staggered factory setup, would save you a max of 38lbs + the couple lbs difference due to staggered. So going from factory gt500 wheel and tire to a squared 17x4.5 setups saved you ~84lbs maybe? Do the 15x10s weight 2lbs each??

The carbon fiber 1 piece for the gt500 is around 14lbs.
Also the gt500 of pre 2011 was able to run 17/15 combo. You're just really ignorant and uninformed.
