LT1 supra vs ecoboost mustang
LT1 supra is aluminum stock ported heads and cam on a base email tune.
Mustang is full Bolt-on's and tuned.
Supra has not been dyno'd. Last time the mustang was dyno'd it made 380 torque to the wheels. Not sure of the whp though.
Thought I'd share.

Yeah, just a tune really wakes those cars up. You definitely had the torque and weight advantage. However, it looked like top end was pretty even. Once you jumped out in front he kept pace.

I'll be installing a 52mm TB and a underdrive pulley this week just to try and get a little more distance on him. lol. We work together and its constant **** talk around the shop. lol

You don't need to remove the intake to open the holes up so honestly might as well get the 58mm and open it up while you're in there - I did it when I was bolt-ons. I used oil coated rags stuffed in the intake with a shop vac nozzle mounted right up against where I was grinding. Vac sucked up almost all of the shavings as I cut, and the tiny bit that fell were pulled away by the oiled up rags when I removed them.
It won't help over a 52mm on a stockish motor, but it wont hurt either and is better then having to buy twice if you still plan more mods down the road.

Note that most aftermarket TBs for LT1s are glorified TPI parts so they usually don't have the IAC hole isolated into the manifold like a stocker. I recommend JB welding a short section of pipe or some bar stock to isolate it properly. If not, IAC air just gets dumped into the plenum and starves the rear cyl vs the stock setup that has small passages to each runner.

Thanks for the input. I already bought the 52mm TB though. I went with it instead of the 58mm because I read a lot about how if you are still stock cubed that it is overkill. I got a BBK one used off ebay for a steal so I'm not complaining. If I need to later on down the road, I'll upgrade.
