Default 99 Cobra vs F1a C7z

Guy with the Whipple Hellcat I've posted videos of bought a C7z the other day.

Reason for the weird shift on the C7z is the trans is fucked up from a taller tire, slips after 4th. He's getting it re tuned soon for more boost and C16.

C7z has the TPR 1200 Package: F1a, CNC heads, cam, meth, 2" headers, etc... Made 863whp at 14.5psi on 93.

Cobra: Built motor, heads/cams, full exhaust, Vortech V2 @ 10psi, E85, T56 Mag

Is that the same Cobra with the built motor running only 10psi with a bad Vortech V2? I think I saw another video of this Cobra in the past.

Indeed. It’s been in previous videos.

Then you need to read again. Had the Vette not had an issue it would have been even worse

yeah if the race kept going, because it was the faster car. But when the trans wasn’t slipping it still took a while to pull a lowly 99 cobra with a baby blower.

Repost when fixed. It will be an embarrassment for the Cobra.

Hard to see exactly how far ahead the Vette was, but to me it looked like a solid car or two even with the trans issue. All things considered in this case that's a pretty strong lead for a race lasting about 8 seconds long. Would be interesting to see how much more of a gap the Vette would have had with no trans issues

you keep saying with the trans issue... the trans issue didn’t start until you hear it slip trying to shift to 5th. He was about 1 car out on him at that point. These guys are local to me, I was there..

Sounds like it slipped in the beginning too. Either that or it was late on the shift. If it that's the case then I can see what you're saying. It's hard to pick up every little detail on a cell phone

Reading the original post, I was thinking "Well this is a no-brainer, the vette should totally obliterate the Cobra" but I thought the Cobra held in quite well. Nice

V2 at 10psi? That fact that they were still in the same zip code was surprising.

Any track times on either?

Realistically a z06 don't even need a blower to walk a 4.6 on 10psi. ****.....a stock one shoukd get it done. A good fbols7 may outrun both those cars.

This.

Z06 flat out embarrassed itself by barely squeeking out that win with those mods... good for the 99 cobra though, it put up a great show....
