Yep it’s 10.7:1 so that’s not low at all. I don’t know what’s up with that car but I stand by I expected it to perform better considering what’s done to it. It runs like a nitrous only car without any other mods.

Hio thinks the Vette would run better with stock cam? Lmfaoooo. Yeah probably run about a full second slower.

I will say it doesn't help that he is shifting at round 6200rpm when his cam probably makes peak power at 6500 (so he should be shifting a few 100rpm more than 6500rpm).

True that. Hell the stock cam can turn more than that.

So it seems it probably has a **** tune, a **** driver with a **** cam that doesn't match anything that's goin on.

I was gonna say that and forgot. Totally agree with you. Most likely it can rev even higher than that.

That's just it.....the ones with knowledge know where to look.

The speculatirs think a cam is worth 1sec in the qtr and a 200shot is always worth 200 no matter what. So that speculation aline puts that c6 at solid 10s cam only........likely faster tgan 10.5. Then a 200 shot would have it running mid 9s or faster.

I think they're saying the stock compression is on the low side, not that the motor is hurt.

It's going to be interesting once I get my car tuned. Been down several years and now has a new set of TSP - 247 heads. Before the breakdown, easily beat a Fastlane Kenny Bell Supercharged Stang on 610 in H Town on 16 degrees of timing and no NoS. Of course, a 410 gear with a 6 speed helps a lot. Since then, the world changed with basically you name it and it's out there. Hellcats, Demons, ZL1's, etc..... No longer in H-Town and around here are McLaren's, Lambo's, Ferrari's, Tesla's.........No telling at this point, but do hope to keep it on the down and low as I don't want my car taken for street racing.

Mine, Not low compression - big cam, crazy sound, Nitrous 250 shot, etc. A similar Camaro with less ci and same NoS turned a 9.95 @ 137 mph..... Well, I'm very curious to see how mine will compare to the latest and greatest - Hellcats, TT Stang's, ZL1's and whomever else. It's going to be interesting for sure.

I've witnessed a few underperforming 5.0s as well. power adders take extra effort and testing to get the most potential out of. I know of a built nitrous ls1 running cam only times because he doesn't tune his own car and his tuner is being safe with it.

The thing is freaky the "safe" furd tune typically includes race gas.
