Default E55 vs 2015 5.0

So I'm laying in bed, and my phone starts going off. Buddies say there's this kid from out of town in a mustang looking for someone to race. Said he only wanted fast cars. So I show up there, and another 5.0 pulls up next to him and they start talking. Well come to find out, he's the guy that called me out a month ago and backed out. He told him my car was fast and not to race him. After a long talk I told him my car was 100% stock so he said he wanted a dig

Yeah it's ugly around here lol. The days we have good weather and DA, the track isn't open. They shut it down one day it was in the mid 50s and DA was around 3800

Same here, in the spring and fall I get a few weeks where it's around 0 ft. and during the summer it's about
3000 - 3500 ft. Track elevation is 800 ft.

7200 ft.....

Yeah I'm waiting until at least October before I go back. DA may still suck, but it'll at least be cooler

Just looking at some 1/4 mile time for stock E55 and with a good 60', I see some high 11 ET runs. With higher 60', I see some low 12's all the way up to 12.5's @114 to 116 mph.
Considering the weight on these cars, that is moving pretty good.

Best 60 I've been able to get is a 1.9. But that's leaving TC on. I'm sure I've I put a man tire on it. I could get some 1.7-1.8 and get a 12.7ish. With it on I can only get a 13.0, and TC kicks in on the 1-2 shift that makes it nose over slightly.

A nice tire with a good DA (if that is possible in your area) would really get you some nice results. No doubt.

4k would be good DA for us lol. Thunder Valley in Noble, Ok sometimes sees some good DA. Or Dallas Motorplex near Larry. Both about 5hrs away. Larry and I have been trying to get together and meet up for some runs. But it would be pointless now after his cam and heads lol

Looks like mustang jumped, but was no problem as you pulled away with ease

sounds exactly like my conditions. Best I’ve ever been on was a -500 day by the end of the night. But I only ran at the beginning about -100 or so.

much after -500 it gets too cold and track will close

milan and 131 both are 600-800 ft
