Default Cam/headers ls1 Camaro vs 2 2018 5.0's and a 2015 5.0

The fbody is my buddies. We just finished the build .

Sbe ls1
ms4 cam
speed E headers
speed e true duals
e85

the 18 mustangs were stock .

The 15 mustang was a CJ intake/headers e85 Lund tune car.

Barely modded is a lid catback car. A cam swap is a ******* long way off from being barely modded.

7-10 hours to do a cam and exhaust swap. Any time you crack the engine open, it's moved well beyond the barely modded stage.

Sorry, you're wrong. Lid/cat back still means the LS1 is stock. Apparently modular ferds gain much more than LS1 cars do from intake mods and catbacks...those mods make a ferd a MAX EFFORT FBO affair.

Damn, I forgot the LS playbook. It's stock until you get longtubes, which you get, but don't tune it for them. Cam swaps are barely modded, all stock LS cars hit at least 12.8, with most hitting 12.6, all bolt on cars hit 11's easily, a cam only should be sniffing 9's, and H/C/I/Stalls can't beat 2v mustangs. If it wins a race, it's as expected, if it loses, it wasn't proper, or it short shifted an auto, while banging off the rev limiter and stormed back right after the camera stopped rolling. Mustangs are full sausage if they have a CAI and a tune, and should be disqualified from any and all wins if it has a blower on it, because only bitches run boosted.

Nice proper ls1

a cam swap is a pretty easy job on an ls1 for any halfway decent mechanic.

It actually requires a lot if done right. Port or change the oil pump on older car. Change valve springs. New chain. Tune. If you have 273s you need a gear change. Autos will usually require a stall and nailing down the shift points which can be a PITA.

I did all of that besides my own tuning and I had a manual so didn’t have to tune that stuff. At the age of 20 and had never done anything similar before at the time. Not the easiest thing in the world but as I said any halfway decent mechanic could do it. Or anyone that’s mechanically inclined and has the tools. I didn’t think it was that bad. Did one for a friend after that as well. And then changed out to a different cam the next year and did heads.

i did buy a nice crane cams valve spring tool at the time that held down both at once made it nice. Held the lifters up with dowel rods. Hardest part of the oil pump was lining it up proper and not fudging the o ring.

I can see a lot of people having a hard time with it. But I’ve done much harder things
