so cam only coyotah slower than bolt on ones and slower than a cam only ls1. Sounds about right.

Yes my bone stock S550 just like it came out of the dealer ran a 13.0 at 109 with a 2.15 60ft...so what? You think Im supposed to be ashamed because of that? LOL Hiollary you's a fool.
yea it's a bolt on engine. Get over it. I have another one to. Bolt on ls6 would be faster in a vette.

so a 13sec stock 5br0. Sounds about right to me. Slower than a stock 5gen tho.

idk what it takes to put a gen2 coyotah in a s197 5br0 chassis. Maybe you can inform us. Yes a gen3 woukd be a swap. They are different enough with di and a ci change to warrent that and probably needing a harness to run 2 sets of injectors.

You know what a ls1 car needs to accept a ls6? Nothing......nothing at all other than the oil pan and pick up tube. I even ran it on the ls1 tune. #replacement

never ran it with the nascar gears. You know the fancy used ones that cost like $160 shipped. Not uncommon for hotrods to have upgraded transmissions....besides i guess you should call cory out on his complete trans swap at this point. You know....just to keep things fair.

hopefully i straightened this up a bit before you ruin prays thread with dumbass accusations.

Just as I expected yours is bolt on but coyote it’s a swap. Well I guess by that standard my car is bolt on too. Everything went on by bolts and easier than an engine swap. Good talk.

Well I'm not saying the coyote couldn't be bolt on in that chassis. I only stated the difference in a swap vs a replacement. Since you don't work on cars i can see where you would struggle with the reasoning of it.

so....what's it take to put a gen2 coyotah where a gen1 is? You never answered.....you just cried.

i can tell you what it takes to put a ls7 where a ls1 was. It's a swap but a mild one......like very mild.

a new lt would be more involved.

A local guy has already put a gen 3 in a gen 2 car. Lots of guys run Gen 2 motors in gen 1 cars if/when they hurt their motors. It’s no biggie.

If you were so badass and ls1 so good you should stuck to it and made it fast.

well i did help a friend make his ls1 go 11.9 w/o headers. But phil hurt my ls1. Seems alot of you stay hurt over the ls6.

well what's it take to change a ge1 to gen2? I know people can do it....you could swap a diesel in it if you wanted.

Gen 2 motor longblock, reuse your gen 1 timing parts and cams.

Ok...so pretty significant changes. Not like putting a ls6 where a ls1 was. Which only required changing the oil pan and pick up tube so it fits the 4gen chassis.

Everything bro’s do is significant for you. Go back to your LS1 and go 10s on bolt ons. Like you expect out of bro’s.

From what I've seen it's not to be expected and still have much of a car around you for the "bro's"

but yea changing you cams and chains are pretty significant for ANY engine. Definitely not sealed then......lol

A swap is a swap don’t matter what model ls family it is and cams and chain is easy to do .

You’re actually using less aggressive gen1 cams. Like I said put a stock sealed LS1 and go fast.

When one engine goes in place of another engine with no changes it's a replacement.

cams in a 5br0 is a pita. Heard many say that. On top of that now you're mixing and matching cams to different model engines. Be no different than a ls6 cam in a ls1....or a ls7 cam in a ls3.

So when I buy a s197 and buy a gen 3 5.0 long block and bolts right in then it’s not a swap then is it ? Just bolt in from your experience?

Wasn't it like 25% or something that came with the LS6 block in 02 ? I know that those blocks didn't come with the 243 heads but still.
