You had a legit motor combo. You got rocked hard core like all while I'm still ******* with bolt ons.
but yea you would need a legit motor combo to run with me only with bolt ons. And the ls6 never got ran in it's best form. You would need a custom errythang to even attempt to run with a bolt on ls7.

what tq did that turd 4.6ux out out......lol. took a full build to only get to 490 with weak *** tq. Never left the high 11s either or did it even get to make a pass.
lol....still wanting to compare a full built 5.8 to bolt on junk. You would still loose. **** the pile you have now is only running cam only times.
Hows cam only modulars run? Like real modulars.

lol...and you just think it would.

Avg power wins races. Wasn't a "full" build. Had 50+ on table with a more serious 4.6 combo.
No comparison it would be gap city. Hammer would probably be a decent run with his 388.
Been 9s with boltons. The pile I have now will gap you with a truck motor. Sad.

Mikeh!
Was just trying to clarify the LT1s limits etc. Have learned a decent amount about the motors since I got the Vette. Really is a sweet NA platform. Good head/cam setup can run 9's pretty easy.
Yeah I wouldn't be going into the motor, pulling pistons... regapping and putting them back in.. if they come out... top quality forged replacements are going back in. No reason not to.

With the new Coyote engines, do the spark plugs still break off in the cylinder heads like many of the Triton 5.4 and 4.6 were notorious for doing?
The very expensive repairs on the old mod-motor Ford junk, makes me very concerned about the new version of the mod-motor to point of not considering what seems to be a pretty cool Performance Pack 2 5.0 Mustang.
One friend spent $1,800 on getting the plugs done in his Triton 5.4 after all 8 broke.
A coworker spent $2,400 when two plugs (broke one in each head) on her 4.6 Mustang and the heads had to be pulled to remove the debris that lodged in the cylinder.
Another had an earlier 4.6 that blew several sparkplugs out of the cylinder heads and had an expensive out of place repair bill. It was like the heads had two or three threads. Definitely a moron or two was involved in designing the head.
In fairness, I know one person who was able to do a plug change on a 100,000 mile 5.4 without any issues.
Of course both cam phasers failed.
Just three of about a dozen sparkplug horrors stories friends and coworkers experienced from owning poorly designed and engineers Ford products.
