Irrelevant to Hio’s argument.

While you might as well do the pistons if going into the motor. Ive read from some in the know argue that it is the tight ring gap and that the stock pistons could handle well past 700 rwhp with re gapped rings.

Cool....give na a try unless pooossaayyy. Na is a mans game tho. Actually shows what the engine can do vs what your power adder can do.

Always with the stips. Nothing keeping you from putting a 2650 on your ls7.

I normally like your posts but this 1 is way off.

That is correct...the Piston material used in the LT1 is the same as the LS3. The difference is the ring gaps. You can regap the rings just like a 5.3 LS and it would hold some power, but most will opt for a set of drop-in slugs being it makes more sense if taking the engine apart. That being said the SBE LT1 still will hold more power then most give it credit for. There is a gal on FB with a SBE F1a94 car making 850.

Most places I have talked to said the rods are good for 850-900... Then above 1k you should stud the mains. Other then that the block and crank will handle some big power.

Well to be honest I am sure there are a few truly untouched 5.3s living at ~800 however that is not a reliable power level for them. Espeically for the older 5.3s.

There are plenty out there way above 550whp and living. I tuned a friend's SBE 5.3 that he daily drives.....just did 19psi on a 78mm turbo on 93 pump gas only....he's got over 10k miles on the setup. The tune has to be right for it to live....which can be said about anything.

Highest I've seen from gen 3 coyote and still living is 1100whp. Through A10 trans. Haven't seen no lt1, lt4 doing that yet on stock engine.

I am talking truly SLB cars. For every 1 800+ combo there are 9 others that go boom making less than 800.

Should probably clarify that next time since pretty much everyone talks about SBE not SLB. I'd be willing to bet the majority of those 9 others blew up cause rhwir tuner didnt know what they were doing, not from an actual failure of a component due to weakness. Lifting a ringlands is the number 1 failure of all LS high hp stuff and it's mainly due to tuning.

nothing keeping you from backing up your mouth and running na. If that 4v turd is so great it shouldn't be a issue for you to run what my ls6 ran. But we both know it won't.

that's because erryone thinks they have to shove a cam or do the heads on a ls. The engine is plenty capable with out that.

Well pulling it apart and installing a different set of 5.3 rods, arp hardware, etc... doesn't constitute as "stock motor".

If I sold blower stuff and went with a legit all motor combo you wouldn't have a chance. Nice stip though everbody that is fatser than you with a power adder tell them to go n/a lmao.

You had a legit motor combo. You got rocked hard core like all while I'm still ******* with bolt ons.

but yea you would need a legit motor combo to run with me only with bolt ons. And the ls6 never got ran in it's best form. You would need a custom errythang to even attempt to run with a bolt on ls7.

Kinda like how the 1993 camaro and a 2016 corvette have the same engine right? They are both LT1s.
