Thanks guys. It is an A8 and I am running a 275 Micky Pro radial in the back. Next time out I am looking for 9.70's with a bunch of issues fixed. |

What issues? The heads I had on here had bad seats and chipped away ruining the cylinders and rings. So I had to ball hone the cylinders to try to clean them up to no avail. I then had to use a set of used rods, pistons and rings I had left over. So the motor isn't sealed up at all. Then when putting this combo back together the head bolts on the pass side started stripping out one by one. So after the 4th time I had the head off I just Time Serted the entire side. But I didn't have time to replace the head gasket or bolts and it appears the car is pushing water a little. There are some other issues in there as well. I smoked the rear diff at CF8 so only one tire turns during the burn out. I have a new diff for it in the garage. Something is up with the brakes where I have no pressure on the line. So I can't hold the car to come up on the converter. I can get to about 1,800rpm and then the car drives through the line. When I hit it it will only flash to 3,800. This cam was an experiment and starts making power at 5K. It needs a 4,600 stall minimum. This converter is supposed to and used to do that but the lock up clutch or something in the trans is forcing it to lock up at idle now. Then there is the fact that the car still thinks it's wrecked. When the DS broke it kicked off the air bags and the car now has a mind of it's own. I haven't had time to get all the new bags in it and get it all reset. That is the short list. LOL. I spend all my time on customer stuff and just let my crap slide. |
