Random encounter tonight but lucky enough I had the Go Pro strapped to the T-Top and charged (imagine that). Baited him in with a quick 4th gear pull and then did a 3rd gear from around 55-60ish. I honestly thought it would have been closer or I was going to get pulled so I'm going to assume he was in wrong gear or something. Looked and sounded stock, after the run I let him pass me and he had the SS badge on the bumper but sure ran like a V6.

They're decently quick in stock form, most running around 12.4@115, but not enough for a cammed, gear, bolt on 4th gen. Good kill.

Looks.like a V6 based on the driving lights on the front pointing down, SS driving lights are parallel with the ground if I'm making sense.

After rewatching it definitely looks like the V6 front fascia.

The more I think about it ,it does seem like V6 performance and it's hard to tell these day since they all look so slick. But that SS badge, can't stand it when folks do that.

I agree that is stupid as hell to put a badge on a car that isn't the right car. If you look at the fronts of an SS and the fronts of a V6 and look at the direction of the running lights you'll see what I'm talking about.

Definitely a V6. The LS1 would have pulled way harder from a 1st or 2nd gear roll.

I've also seen other Jackasses put SS badges on V6's. And GT badges on 05-10 V6 Mustangs.

so man....i cant run past 4th gear, but i have run a few LT1 SS that were probably stockish, and they are simply no joke. where i run off from gen5 cars, the lt1 is a slow walk for me. i put entire freight trains on 4th gens. i know the odd SD tuned ls6 swapped cars are the real thing, i havent run into one of those.

Not that I know of but a bolt on, geared, cam 6 speed should pull a new ss. I would say the average trap for a ss is 114 - 116 mph so it would be close. But it's not going to **** pound a cammed Ls1 like said above.

I can tell you that I absolutely dismantle them from a dig or roll.

Yeah I would expect a heads/cam/stalled LS1 to, I wasn't sure of his mods or what he ran. I think a new SS vs an everyday cammed LS1 would be a good run.
