this 08 has none of that.

at the strip, when the gt100 was a new car in clarksville, mid 8's in the 1/8th mile. no pray of hooking it. the guy had a new gt500 and a new ford GT. he was in the car club i was in.

consider before everyone just **** on all gt100s....with a tire and suspension, with a car that runs near the top end of stock gt100s, it has 400rwtq at 2900 rpm. the tire and suspension freaks CAN run 12.0. on car will only pull 9 degrees of timing, while another 22. the cars varied a LOT on power output. 390/390 were common, and 425/427 happened also.

a few were fast. i've personally never seen a 07-09 near stock run well, but they can. i wish now, i had gotten the gt100 instead of the coyote. it would be a terbo lol.
Man I think hell must of frozen over because I actually agree with assassinator lol

The only GT500 I would ever purchase would be the 2013+ with 662 hp, those things out of the box are mean, any mods = BEAST

This is why i always laugh my butt off whenever a furd derp makes fun of a 5th gen running high 12s/low 13s with 426 crank hp stock...when they have a 500-540 crank hp car running the same times.

The weight just kills them. Sad a 500 HP power adder car struggles to hit 11s with stock blower when prior offering did it easier.

They fucked it when they put the iron block and all the weight on the nose of the car . The weight distribution sucks on them with a tire and tune they wake up though

i put a 5.4 3v in my 96gt in 05. i bought it dressed, and moving that bastard across the yard on a dolly just about killed me. big blocks weigh less. i actually tore my belly putting it in the car. my car that weighs 2970 now with a 4v terbo, weighed 3650 with the 5.4 3v. it had 100 lbs more suspension weight than now, but it was still incredible heavy. ive had quite a few big blocks on my engine stand and the 5.4 was the first one i could barely turn over.

that iron 5.4 4v is heavier than you can believe. add a supercharger and coolers to my 5.4.

If I recall correctly, in 2007 when the GT500 came out, car and driver did a comparison between it and an LS2 Vette....and the Vette came out on top....LS3 car should have no real issues

mod motors are enormous and heavy....and that'sjust a 4.6. A 5.4 is even larger. A aluminum ls will weight in about 38xlb. My tractor struggled a bit picking it up the 4.6.

According to my boyfriend many people still laugh about you today getting beat by a two valve heavy Ford motor against a lighter Chevrolet which you have.
