chevrolet has never, and will never produce a car like this. Ford has produced a number of cars like this for the street for anyone with the cash to buy one.

Dug says "we have had these rounds before and you lose" LMFAO!! dug everyone in this forum has watched me abuse you with 302 > 305 logic until the sun comes up. SBCs suck, people used them because GM littered up the world with those piles of ****.

the 305 out power 302s. Hotrod did a recent test on this. Accept it....the worst part is you're dumbed down to using a 305 which was a smog engine to even compete. A 305 was never intended for performance.....and still out powered your 30p00.

I hear ya, man however it has been going on for so long now you just have to go with it. Actually, if you read some of it, it's hilarious. I was just in the other thread, and a couple of post had me rolling on the floor.

Dan Gurney's Eagle with took second place at Indy in 1968. Note the slide valve throttles for the Lucas fuel injection and the magneto ignition. The $14,000 engine made 535 HP at 7,800 RPM on 10% nitro for qualifying and slightly over 500 HP on straight alcohol. This comparable to the exotic DOHC Ford Indy V8s, only the Gurney engine was smaller, lighter, and much less expensive.
the most a small block ford could do. 500hp on methanol.
off the shelf rods and pistons. just hot rod parts and dan's pushrod heads.

I can’t. Your just some random board warrior. And a horrible one at that. However, if you were standing here in front of me, you wouldn’t say that to my face. I’m sorry that you were mistreated as a child and bullied in school so you find some relief and revenge in cursing at people on the internet. If that’s what makes you feel better tough guy. I won’t stoop to your childish level and play your childish name calling games.

Not getting as deep as you all but pretty Shure ol Carol Shelby had a small block Chevy in first (test) mule cobra too.
Dontov said no didn't want to compete with his own engine.

4 years later old Zora dontov had a aluminum 427 zl-1 copo Camaro just dominating the streets. But don't get me wrong that 428 cobra jet was a bad mo-foer too. So was a 426 polarera. Every body was a player back then. Hell a Buick gs stage 2 455 was no slouch either......

Hio if you have a 305 TPI and F car 350 TPI(the competition for the 302) you as well have to change the top end to go fast even if you stay n/a. The 302 is better in regards to the EEC(You can run cams with no tune unlike the GM twins),stock MAF were garbage on those unlike the Ford version, stock Injectors were terrible and unreliable as well as the rear end in those cars had to be changed for any assault into the 11 second zone. The manifolds sucked compared the factory headers on the Fords. The 87-92 cars had forged pistons and a decent crank which mean you could run 6psi of boost with one easy even with a stock tune. The fbombs no way kaboom. Mustang factory aftermarket parts were all over the place. GM ones not so much. What little they had was thanks to SLP and most of that was utter crap including the PROM. 30POOP was an easier motor to modify by far.
