Default My 16SS A8 pray tuned VS 04 cobra 620 rwhp whipple 2.9

all details in vid description. First time out on the tune not even set for my car. Also near full weight. Surprised it was this close. Him on drag radials me on stock. Big thanks to pray performance and his roll race tune. No wonder he got the a10 bros crying !

notice... absolutely no bog shifting into 5th.

Good looking cars and pull!

Was someone on the limiter at just before the 1:00 mark?

Thanks. yep he slightly missed a gear. Not for long. He is faster no doubt I’m just happy it was this close. First race I got the jump and he said he short shifted. We couldn’t hear honks did best we could. Both cars way too loud. Thought about a 40 roll but we both worried about traction. Especially me. Stock tires even from 40 I can get loose sometimes. Last race was about 70-150. I didn’t look at the speedo at the end just guessing. Car coming on the on ramp last race I let off he had me by about half car as you can see. And he would have kept pulling I’m sure

thanks. We will see where his car is at on the dyno June 4th. It made 760 on race gas per previous owner. He’s on 93 now so I’m guessing 700. Maybe the tune isn’t right idk Im shocked. He’s already setup for bigger injectors and E85 tune June 4. Can see where he is at now as in this race. I’ll have no chance then. But I’ll put my car in kill mode give it my best

760 rwhp on 110 octane per previous owner with dyno sheet. Iím just guessing 700 on 93. Donít think thatís too far off but idk

I ask since there is not a whole lot of data. My 03 2.8KB Cobra made 660whp (tuned by HBH himself) on max timing on 93 and trapped 133 with a 3:55. He over revved 3rd like heís not familiar with the car and had a passenger. The shifting talent at that power level in a manual tells a lot.

I stumbled onto the thread and I love hard data so reason for my questions. A 2.9 car on 93 could be as little as 600whp trapping 130. Youíre also not missing a shift but heíll keep pulling as long as you guys run them. Either way great daytime vid and noble loss. Keep them coming - Prays work is 2nd to none, Amen

solid post I agree. He is not that familiar with the car only had it a couple weeks. But considering how light it is and all the mods I’m happy. I think he said 3.73 gears in that solid rear spool. As I said in kill mode with my billet 15 wheels all around, race brakes in rear, seats out and 26 tall tires he gonna have a hard time pulling me at all. But alas he is not sitting still. The guy doing his E85 setup is telling him 800 rwhp. Still on the stock bottom end I’ve read that can be questionable. I’m not sure though. In the future when I go heads cam maybe I can break his heart with much less hp

my best trap is almost 129 btw. So him at 600 looks about right but idk. Needless to say this car just keeps impressing me since the day I bought it

Damn, Ultra! Your car does pull hard. He did have a slight pull up top but for the difference in Hp, your car stands out since it makes use of the power it has efficiently. Great job and very impressive!

Good runs , but the 2003 cobra aren't that light tho unless he's done some weight reduction mods but still you keep up with a boosted car and on street tires .
