Default Got punked by a 4banger :(

Me and few of my F-body and mustang buddies headed out for a cruise last night and we meet up at the local spot. We were minding our own business when a whole pack of ricers come in. there were at least 50 ricers that came with the pack. well anyways i seen my friend that hands out with the riceboys and went to talked to him. apparently some of my other buddies talked to my honda friends and set upa race for me with a orange hatch. I seen the orange hatch come and he was on slicks and skinnies in the back i asked my friend what he had and he said it had a B20 Motor with a big *** turbo, full bolt on all the turbo stuff, down pipe big intercoller and other stuff. He said he was dynoing at 503fwhp and ran 10.80s all day long he asked if i wanted to race and i declined and sved myself the embarresment. This guy has been trying to race a 03 cobra with intake, headers, catback, chip, gears , pulley and DR but the 03 cobra always declines i guess his 10.80's are true

What you rattled off is definitly a formula for hi-10s in ricer-speak. Stay away from that one.

that guy doesn't race for under $500 a race , he sometimes races for 1000+ dollars. I wasn't about to hand him 500 bucks guys. Yeah i got punked by a 4banger but this was no ordinary ricer fellas. maybe when my LS1 69 camaro with Stg 2 ZO6 HEADS TSP 231 Cam, full bolt on, forged piston, 150 shot Nitrous, 12 bolt rear with slicks comes out maybe ill be the one doing the punking

Yeah, like he said. If there is no money involved I like racing impressive cars just to see how I stack up to them. Fast cars are impressive no matter what but I guess the guy in the orange hatch doesn't run for fun

That would be super fast for my car.. Granted I've built 8x cars for other people.. But for myself.. Well my pocketbook has a limit!

FYI: You were not punked out my friend.. And that was no ricer unless he had a gay *** shopping cart handle wing!!

It absolutely is not. My car is slow.

BPLS1 - You didn't get punked out either. That car doesn't sound like rice to me. more race than rice.

b16civicmatt, in 'our' world 8s on the street is fast 11s and 12s are pretty common (look around the board) and 9s and 10s are very well occupied by a large majority of people. when it comes to actual "ricers" their deep pockets tend to empty out in the mad pursuit of "anything that adds weight and hampers aerodynamics".
Of course fast imports exist... thats not what unit was getting at. FWD cars just recently hit the 7s...a place was reached a long, long time ago for the RWD domestic scene.

Unit - definately agree there... a fast car is a fast car.

If it wasnt for money I would have made him waste his gas on me as well.

High 10s are most definatly not fast. Show me a civic that will take down 1/2 of the guys in the single digit section and then come back to us.
