last thursday night i went to a new hang out here in miami. about 20 later a 95 integra with a huge intercooler, drag radials and sparco seats pulls up. it looked like a regular integra and it was still on stock rims. i overheard this guy talking about this integra and saying that it is bad ***. well, sure enough somebody went there and said if it was that fast then why not race the black z06 parked on the other side. the guy in the integra said that he wouldnt race it unless it was for some cash. well, everyone started cracking up and the z06 guy said ok then lets do it. about 15 minutes later the integra gets out on the road and comes to a full stop. the z06 pulls up next to him and as soon as the light turns green they both punched it and imediately the integra jumps in front about a car. i am hoping the z06 will catch up, but it was never the case. second race was from a 15mph roll and all i remember is seeing a big puff of black smoke coming out of the integra's exhaust and his lights blinking when he was about 2 cars ahead of him. i guess after all we dont need to be suprised if our asses are handed to us by stock looking ricers.

well that is always why you check the car over. You can never have to big of a head even when an INTEGRA pulls up to a meet.

i NEVER underestimate imports down here, because i KNOW we have cars capable of running 10's at 140 PLUS mph. it is incredible.

I hope you guys paid up with no problem and gave props.

There was an Interga that dynoed 315hp yesterday at a car show. It had some black rams and a coffee can on and sounded like crap when it hit the high rpms. About 10 cars dynoed and he had the 2nd best. I thought it was just gonna be another riced out car but it suprised me and quite a few other people because most of the riced cars around here are simple mods for a few hp.

How are integras with huge exhausts rice? You know, you need 3'' exhausts for FI, and it doesn't always sound the best.

Ive said it before a hundred times, imports and Fox body Stangs are both like a box of chocolates, just gotta take a bite and find out. 90% are 14+ sec turds, every once in a while you will get sat down though. We have a few turbo imports around here that would flat hurt a stock LS1. Knowing just enough about imports to be dangerous, i know what to avoid by the look adn the sound. That, and the guys i chill with, if its a fast import, they know about it. Those aforementioned nasty turbo imports are about to get the suprise of thier life when i get that NX kit and my long tubes on. If i ever do. Hell been talking about it for 2 weeks now. Sucks working in a car shop, making other peoples **** fast, cant get to my own.

As been said, for every 200 slow riced out integras, there is one fast one. I've never met one, luckily

When the imports with the huge wings, heavy *** wheels, and stickers all over it try to race me, I don't get half as nerves when a stock "looking" import try. For some reason there always the fast ones. I run a pretty quick integra on my was to VT acouple weekends ago. Looked bone stock, but I only pulled 2 cars on him by 120. He turned before I could ask him what he has done to it. Maybe I'll run into him again after the h/c is on.

With a 1500 lb (driverless) weight, thats not too aweful hard. Thats the thing i dont really care for about imports, they simply use their size to get fast. To that end, most are stripped out beyond any semblance of daily driveability. I prefer to have a decent, comfortable full interior car that i can take a road trip in and still hear myself think at the end. Just add hp till it goes fast enough. I mean, the whole stripped out/light weight/220 whp thing works well enough, just not my taste.
