01 TA vs STI (highway run)
Saw a couple of white STI's on I-75 cruising by. I was with one passenger, and I threw the first STI a bit of a rev but he didn't bite. I move up to the second one, and saw that there was nothing but empty road. He's game, and It's on!
We both punch it from 70mph. I can't hear anything from him, as my cut-out is drowning everything out. I was halfway expecting to start pulling him a bit, but to my mild surprise he got ahead of me by about a car length, but I reeled him in slowly, and stayed steadily at his door. Damn! Still at his door, our speeds reach over 100, 110, when at around 120, I begin to pull him in, and around 130-135, I had a good car length on him, and he was slowly getting further behind. We shut it down soon after, with me winning by maybe 1-1.5 car length.
Nice cars, things have a hell of a punch. He wanted to run again and was waving and pointing, but my passenger had enough, and I didn't want to risk any police. Oh, and I'll speak the truth: I was afraid I mighta lost the next run, and just wanted to keep my slim victory tonight.

Think of this near-kill experience as an opportunity. Get that torque converter installed, pick up a decent cam, and swap the Flowmaster out for something a bit higher flowing, and you'll have no worries.
