We cruised into good ole enis to pick up a few things for the formula, well the store in ennis didnt have wat a was looking for so I looked at my girlfriend and asked if she wanted to go into dallas or maybe back into arlington for the evening, she replied with yes. So I get into arlington and im on cooper st., I pull up to a guy in a red notchback stang with what looked like dumps and sounded heavily modded, btw ive seen a stock t/a put a car on this perticular notch a while back. He threw me a few revs, so I knew it was on, but my girl gave me this no not right now act so i didnt get to run him. So Im heading down to the 24 hour auto zone too pick up a synchro rebuild kit, when i spot the baddest looking z06 ive ever seen I speed up to get next to him at the light. When I got up next to him i could instantly hear a procharger like whistle . I threw him the biggest rev my lil 346 could give, he threw me a nice boosted rev . I knew i was toast but i didnt care i knew i could atleast stay with him, btw i had my z06 rims on with the nittos. Well the lights about to turn green, they where red 4 ways i kinda get the tired hot with a lil spin. The light turns green and i jump out a lil on him, i hear him spinning a lil bit, but when he hit traction he was slowly pulling on me, I hit second went a lil sideways as he was getting next to me and i started a lil pull. well to make a long story short he finally got me at around 130mph with a 1 car lead. I talked to him at a light and he said he was using a 10lb. pulley without a tune. he was one of the coolest vette owners ive ever had a chance to run, he gave me his number and told me he wants to run when he gets his tune, but by then ill have my juice in the back

Let me get this straight.......................a bascially lightly modded LS1 pulled on a Blown Z06 until 130 ish???? Your so full of **** its unreal. Even with driver error the Z06 should have BLOWN your *** away.

*Edit* Just saw you have heads/cam................................what kinda times are you running to be keeping up with a blown Z06 (on 10lbs no less) for that long?

Well even if he didnt, runnin a Z06 with a Procharger without a tune would be to his advantage. Runnin a nice car like that without a tune is just stupid, mostly with 10lbs of boost, that Vette owner is asking for BOOOMMM.

detonation, timing. If that guy doesnt have a motor built for it or have some low compression heads he is gonna pop that motor pretty soon. But running more power like a SC without a tune is like runnning a big *** cam without a tune. The not having a tune is killing the performance of that car. Sure his car maybe capable of near 500rwhp with a SC but without a tune his timing, afr, and everything else would be WayOff!!!

I went into the race thinking I was gonna lose bad, but when u aint got a tune on a car that seriously needs one asap your gonna be alot slower than you should be.

Was the vette black? I think i ran into that same car right by autozone on Cooper and Arkansas but I was in my daily driver :-/

I use to go out there when I lived in arlington, but i didnt have my ws6 when i did. Sometimes Ill go with my friend in his civic.

Nice race Lswonder. I have yet to see a supercharged vette in my area, only F-Bodies, so that must have been a treat to get a good run in with one. You def have enough with stage 2 heads, cam, lt's, and a built engine to hang with the vette since he is untuned. Thats good for 400+ rwhp and 400+ rwtq, so I can certainly see you staying with the vette. The vette owner must be out of his mind though running without a tune, thats just asking for trouble, especially with 10 lbs of boost. Maybe he had some sort of chip or something from the procharger kit, because if he wasnt that car would have had a tough time keeping up with you if he were totally untuned. Nice runs and hook the N20 back up and race him again!

Its a older blue hatch, nah i dont think he knows them. Well are you talking about the red notch with the 306 trickflow heads, e cam and gt40 intake? i saw a newer stock non ws6 t/a pull him from a roll

Look at his mods he has H/C/I set up.. I bet his car is putting down every bit of 430 rwhp.. A stock Z06 puts down around 340 rwhp so a 10 lbs pullie on a untuned car I can see it happening... Good kill man I still want to see your car when you get a chance..

Did he have that 405 hp badge on his back window if so I ran him at K-dale a few months ago.. He can't really drive very good if it was him, because I beat him in my Mach1 running my ET Streets with him on Nitto Drags.. It was close but I still won..
