Race in 1hr hurry help!! ok i have the car in my sig, theris going to be a red 69 camaro with waht i can see has full exhaust and cut outs, its got 427 corvette badges on it, it also has RS badges on it. its automatic,i saw no gauges inside, i saw no NOS switch. can anyone help with specs. if it has 427 swap do i stand a chance. ive heard it when passing by and its got a nice cam also. kids that hang out with him, say it has 600hp. if this is true wouldnt it have roll bars? maybe racing seats?? plz help Skeeter

Man I would just run him, I ran a 70 Camaro with a huge *** 6-71 or 8-71 coming out of the hood and pulled 2 cars on him, I thought I was going to get left like I was sitting still but you never know until you run, I am going to bet the 600hp is a lie, I beat a C4 the other day that the guy said had 455rwhp and he had a dynoslip to back it up but I beat him too so theres no way he was making that much power. You ought to get some spray for times like this tho

It doesn't have to have a rollbar or slicks. It should have subframe connecters though. In 69, the 427 was only put in a hand full of cars, i.e. yenko camaros etc. It could also be had as a COPO but is very rare. He probably has put it in himself. Hard to know what the motor has done to it at that point. If it's a real 427, it should run strong though. I've seen them in the single digits, 8-9 second range.

Yea the Old iron big blocks ain't as good as our FI motors of today, unless you spend gobs and gobs of money on them with Brodix heads, lighten knief edged crank, radical cam, tall *** single plan intake, he aint making to no 600hp. Should be a good run

Hey, you should tell us who won seeing you must have raced by now. At least I hope you did, kind want to know if it did have 600 horses you ran circles around him or something.

ok guys this is the gayest thing ever!! ill tell the story from this morn. i got to school and everyone was talking about a mx-6 running that camaro. well i get out befor everyon at 2 so i wait for 4 at the spot were their going to race. (if yall are all thinking this guy was sup to race the camaro, well i will after the mx-6 race). anyways i pick up a firend and go to the spot. at 4:05 i see a car pull in off the hwy which like 1/2 mile away i thinking that here they come. well it gets closer and its a COP!!!!. im like holy **** and tell my friend to put the recorder away!! he passes me and turns around as im leaving and he turns on the lights. well im shitting my pants. he comes up to the car and starts busting my *****. well it comes down to nonone showed up and that the cop said we need not to be racing on tiny *** roads"take it to the track" said he. well he tells me to leave so tomoow im going to the school and im going to beat the living **** outa the person that ratted us out!!! no joke... well sry for the thread. no race. if i ever race him itl be on film and ill post it up here. thanks skeeter

damn...good thing you didn't get caught. A friend of mine got caught racing some guy on the highway in a 5.0 he didn't know. He told the cop it was his friend and he was just trying to keep up because he didn't know where he was going. He didn't get a ticket for street racing but he did get a ticket for doing 91 in a 65. Good luck when you finally run the guy.
