Default GTO VS Turbo'd Sentra

My best friend and I decided to go out and make a couple of runs. I still own a boosted SR20DET but don’t play with it much anymore. My friend has a 99 Sentra SE Turbo that traps 110-112mph. His list of mods is fairly long but he doesn’t run much boost because he needs more fuel. Our cars trapped within 1-2mph at the track but on the street the difference is big. I put together a little vid. Enjoy

Yeah, very quick. My little 200SX is just at about 400whp. No traction in fwd sucks.

Nice, 240 would have been a better choice no?

Absolutley the 240 would have been a better choice. I bought the 200 brand new back in 1998 as a car to drive every day and enjoy. With 140hp from the factory I "thought" that car was faster than 90% of cars out there. I remember my dad telling me "be careful, it's a fast little car so don't kill yourself"

The 200 I started to modify and went from running 16.5's to 14.5's in n/a trim. After boost it went from 13.5's to 11.9's @ 120-122mph. Now it's no fun to drive anymore. After replacing 7 transmissions I finally learned it can only take so much. RWD would have been the much better option.

All good things must come to an end, and better things start after that.

man you DRUG that guy, you say he traps 110-112? and you trap 113?? That looked like a hell of a lot more than one or two MPH difference between those two cars. If you are in fact trapping 113 i dont think that car was good for more than 107-108, MAYBE 109mph. Nice kill!

I went with him when he trapped 111.8x mph. He has several passes to back it up as well. I think it's my car that is seeming slow. I can keep up with camaro's that are trapping 115-116 on the street. Maybe my *** can't drive at the track

yeah that 200 is still a cool little car, 7 trannys ouch!, my 113hp mirage smokes tons of ricers on the street(10.0 in the 1/8th stock) i bet that 140hp in the 200 would serously kick alot of ricer ***
