Default Multiple deaths on a Saturday night

It all started at the end of the month car show at the local Flip's. I had been talking to some Mustang guys about their cars vs. my car. Y'know, the usual stuff, when one of the guys wanted me to show him what my car was all about. So we pulled out onto the highway, no sooner do I get to 70 than I see some headlights coming up fast. It was this '70-ish model GTO that was also at the show. I had heard his car, and it was heavily cammed, but I figured, what the hell, I've got the weight advantage right? I was wrong. We both kicked it from like a 70 roll, and his car squatted and hauled ***. By the time that I got to 120, he was a good 1/8 mile ahead, and still pulling hard. I raced him again, wiht the same result. I pulled up alongside him and gave the thumbs up, and was going to talk to him, but he decided to be an *** and just hauled *** off.

Later on I was crusing the strip and ran upon three Mustangs and an Evo 8. One of the Mustangs was this '01 Cobra that I've been itching to run. So we got up alongside each other and go from a 60 kick. He walked me hard. His car pulled like a raped ape. Further on, we came up on a three-lane intersection, leading to a country road. It was the '01 Cobra, an '03 Mach One spraying a 125 shot, and me. The 03 S/C Cobra and Evo were behind us. It was trippy, the '01 had a 8psi Procharger setup from Panhandle Performance, so his blower whine sounded awesome, and the Mach One was purging in front of lots of traffic. God only knows what everyone was thinking. The light turned green, and the Mach One and I got the hole-shot. The Cobra was sitting back there boiling tires. The Mach One walked me a little bit, then I passed him. The Cobra came blowing by at about 110. We turned around and did a couple more rolls with just the Cobra and me. Of course, I got raped each time. The funny thing is, 30 seconds after all five of us pull into the gas station that was on the corner of the light we originally went from, a local sheriff pulled in behind us. Didn't say anything though, so that was good.

Had to take my fiancee home cause she has to work in the morning, then came back. The funniest part of all was that the Evo, which had a nice new HKS turbo on it, pussed out, saying that "All those cars are too fast for me."
Hey, at least he was honest, right?

Yeah, I'm working on those other mods as money allows. Kinda tight right now though. Plan to get 3.73's, Pacesetter LT's, TSP ORY, and wheels and some Nitto 315/35/17 DR's before March.

From a dig, my car is severely traction-limited.

Eh, that particular guy can't drive his car. His best run at the track was like a 13.5 @ 102

Why? They're nothing special out of the hole from what I can tell. People are too quick to jump on the AWD bandwagon. They are no match for a modded rear wheel drive car from a dig.

Nice deaths. Mod that sucker!

Good runs. I bet that was a blast. I don't understand though how you passed the Mach which I'm pretty sure you said was sparying a 125 shot.

To launch those Evo's well you have to drop it at over 5K, which most owners are afraid to do for some reason. I launch at around 3K with my AWD, but thats also with about 8-10lbs of boost.

As far as the Mach goes, he's stock, except for the 125 shot ( no exhaust even, it's spooky watching him run, it's so quiet ) I don't know how he has it set up, but out at the track he's really inconsistent. He'll run between a 12.8 and a 13.5. He pulled me until about 80, and I walked on by. I dunno, he may have just got out of it.

I know that before he put the shot on it, I'd run all over him, even if I got a holeshot. Out at the track, when I run him, I'm always reeling him in at the far end. If only I had another hundred feet...

Luv2Spd, how do those LT's with the Magnaflow sound? It's what I'm planning on, but I heard from a guy that did it that it sounded like warmed over crap.

Post a sound clip if you've got one. I'm interested to hear it.
